We had a project where we needed to move a large amount of data to the cloud, and at first it felt overwhelming—I honestly didn’t know where to start. Then I found ShareGate and was impressed by how easy it was to get up and running. Setting up the replication jobs was straightforward, and it was just as simple to monitor each job throughout the process.

I also appreciated that jobs could be scheduled and that staff could be alerted ahead of time when their files were going to be migrated. The speed and overall performance of the migration were amazing. Everything moved over without any issues, and I couldn’t be happier to decommission my on-prem file server thanks to ShareGate. Since I purchased ShareGate for a specific project and it performed exactly as I expected, I don’t have anything negative to say about the software itself. I did, however, run into concerns later on with the recurring costs. ShareGate also had an additional piece of software called Apricot that allowed me to monitor my Teams and external shares. Over time, that was separated from the original setup and sold as a standalone product at an additional cost. This increased the overall financial commitment, and eventually I had to stop using it due to competing priorities and budget constraints. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
