What do you like best about ServiceNow App Engine?

It is easy to build and customize applications with minimal coding. The UI is clean and intuitive, which makes it simple to design workflows and manage tasks efficiently. It integrates seamlessly with other ServiceNow modules and third-party systems, helping connect processes end-to-end without much effort. Performance is reliable, even for complex workflows, and the platform scales well as needs grow. What do you dislike about ServiceNow App Engine?

With App Engine, there are two ways to migrate code from lower environment to higher environments, sometimes few things don't get capture in the published app report version, and it becomes hard to migrate those un-captured configurations since we can use either app report or update set option for migrating code. It starts to feel limiting when you go beyond simple use cases. While the low-code approach is great initially, more complex requirements often need scripting, which kind of defeats the purpose. There’s also a bit of a learning curve, especially around data structure and governance. Performance can sometimes slow down with large or heavily customized apps and maintaining those customizations during upgrades isn’t always smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ServiceNow App Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's easy to develop a custom application solution which is not available OOB from ServiceNow, which helps in configuring solutions which are tailored to our requirements, the App Engine configuration is easy using the App Engine Studio and with the new AI capabilities, there is lot which we can achieve faster with great UI experience, it helps reducing dependencies on future apps / solutions availability from ServiceNow end, since we can create and publish the solution faster with App Engine, the ROI can be see faster with reduced onboarding time as well.
