It’s rare for me to write a review, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t take the time to highlight the work Michelle K. and Emily H. have done for us. Together, they’ve made our partnership with Sequoia One feel simple, even through a big year of change for our team.

Michelle K. took what could have been a confusing project, moving our hourly team to a new PTO and sick policy, and made it clear. She walked me through the options and California’s rules, helped shape the policy wording, and guided us to a smooth October 23 rollout with a transition bank that was fair to our employees. She also stayed with us after launch. She helped us decide how to handle requests made under the old plan, looked into individual balance questions, and offered to write up the reasoning so our managers could explain it with confidence. Beyond PTO, she set up our harassment training, gave thoughtful advice on worker classification and on keeping policies and resources fair and accessible, and proposed a manager-development program before we even asked.

Emily H. makes payroll feel effortless. Several employees had taken approved unpaid time while we moved them from contractors to employees and onto the new PTO policy. Emily H. set up an off-cycle payroll to make them whole, found a clean way to code those hours under the old plan so no one’s new PTO balance was affected, and waived the off-cycle fee. She turned our back-pay list into a correction quickly and accurately, and she made the whole process easy on our side. I’m glad she’ll be our payroll contact for ClaimBridge as well.

What I value most is how supported I feel. I never have to chase either of them or wonder whether something is handled.
