"Track and fix the bugs faster"

What do you like best about Sentry?

It notifies of any bugs happening instantly and helps in fixing the bugs even before the users or the clients get to know. Another great thing is that it provides stack trace and context values so it becomes easier to find the bugs in the code.

It also puts different occurrences of the same bug in a single thread so it becomes easier to find frequency of the bug and work accordingly. It also integrates well with JIRA so creating issues and assigning becomes easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sentry?

It integrates seamlessly with Python/django projects. But when I tried to integrate it with my node.js/Express.js project, it didn't integrate completely. I mean I was not able to see proper stack traces. Stack traces were shown of some generated files. Even after I uploaded the source map, it was not working properly. What problems is Sentry solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is very common that something goes wrong in production environment because of some bug which was left in the code. Such things cause the more damage the later we get to know about them. Sentry helps us get to know such bugs very quickly so that they can cause least damage and we can act quickly and fix them.

What do you like best about Sentry?

Sentry is a great monitoring tool that allows us to keep track of unexpected errors in different projects and have them mapped to different teams based on a set of rules you can define for each repository is great!

What do you dislike about Sentry?

One drawback is the absence of automated processes to determine which team owns a specific issue. Although there are mapping options available, they require manual setup. Introducing an AI-based assignment feature would truly be a game changer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sentry solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have Sentry set up for our main repositories to track unexpected errors. It runs continuously in the background and notifies us whenever new issue reports come in. By integrating Sentry with the Slack connector, these reports are shared seamlessly, making it easy for all teams to view and handle them in the way that works best for them. "Best for catching production crashes"

What do you like best about Sentry?

Real user crash reports with full stack traces beat "cannot reproduce" tickets any day. The breadcrumbs feature shows exactly what users did before crashing, helped me write regression tests for edge cases we never thought of. Release tracking lets us pinpoint which build introduced bugs. Performance monitoring caught ANRs in our payment flow that only happened on low-end devices. What do you dislike about Sentry?

Sometimes crashes get grouped wrong and we miss critical issues. The Android SDK adds almost 2MB to our APK size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sentry solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our Android app serves thousands of sellers across India on various devices. Sentry shows me crashes happening on random phones running Android 8 that never show up in our test labs. Last month, it caught a memory leak only occurring after product searches, impossible to catch in regular testing. "Everything you need for observability"

What do you like best about Sentry?

Developer-first features that are easy to use and let you go deep where you need it. The docs are easy to follow to get everything setup, took only a few minutes to get it setup for a new Next.js project. I jump in every few days/weekly to see what errors have popped up, as more usage happens in the service, I'm sure I will use it more. Very easy to integrate into our workflows. "Effortless Error Monitoring with Sentry"

What do you like best about Sentry?

I like Sentry's nice, easy-to-use interface and the ability to quickly filter log data. The email weekly reporting is also a great feature. Setting it up was very easy, just installing code on websites. These features save me time when debugging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sentry?

What I like most about Sentry is how quickly it shows me when something breaks. I don’t have to dig through logs for hours — the error details, stack trace, and even user context are all right there. What do you dislike about Sentry?

Mostly I dislike the last changes in pricing policy and pricing building, they changed it in a very inconvenient way for me. I don't like that even if a have a subscription I'am not able to see all the error that exceeds the subscription amount which means if you exceed the subscription then your Snetry work is dead until the next billing date. What do you like best about Sentry?

Because of how well it integrates with Java, I was able to incorporate it without drastically altering our code, which greatly increased its acceptance with us. With the application performance monitoring tool, we have been able to streamline processes and identify bottlenecks that were previously invisible without more advanced technology. Its real-time error detection and reporting capabilities, which are critical for all our Java projects, have become an integral part of our development process. Thanks to real-time notifications that include full details of errors, the exact line of code where the error occurred and the context of the problem, we no longer have to spend so much time debugging the code. Sentry has changed the rules of the game for our organization. I had to invest a considerable effort in checking the records for production errors. We can now find defects in minutes and resolve them before they affect users thanks to its automatic tracking system. A few days ago we discovered an unexpected latency problem in a critical API, it was really an amazing experience. With the help of Sentry’s performance analysis, we can identify the specific technique that was causing queries to run slowly, improve it and achieve a reduction in response time of more than 60%.
