The flat pricing is what sold me. One monthly fee, SES handles delivery at cost, and the bill doesn't budge whether we send 50k emails in a month or a few million. The other thing I didn't expect to like as much: SendOps sits beside SES instead of in the sending path. It manages the setup but never relays the mail itself, so even if SendOps had a bad day, our email would still go out through SES.
Setup was almost nothing. No SDK, no code changes, the app talks to SES the same way it always did. And marketing and ops now have a dashboard of their own for editing templates, searching messages and keeping an eye on quota, so I've stopped handing out AWS keys every time someone needs to look something up. Honestly, not much, it does what it says on the tin. If I'm nit-picking, it would be that I couldn't find something in the doc pages (classic new product issue). Even then, support's been quick the couple of times I flagged something, so nothing's really slowed me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
