"Dependable Position Tracking and AI Visibility – Fast, SMB-Friendly, and Easy to Use"

What do you like best about Semrush?

Position Tracking is one of the most dependable ways I’ve found to check where our keywords currently rank. It gives me a clear, day-to-day view of movement without needing to dig through multiple reports.

The AI Visibility score has become just as valuable for our team. As more discovery shifts to AI search, it helps me stay on top of the AEO and GEO work we need to prioritise, and the granular breakdown makes it much easier to understand what is actually changing and why.

The Semrush MCP works seamlessly with Claude, which has changed how I use the tool. I can ask questions in plain language and get the data I need without opening a dashboard, so quick checks and deeper analysis both take far less time. Reports also come out quickly, which helps when I need numbers for a review or a leadership update at short notice.

On top of that, the UI is clean and easy to navigate, so new team members get comfortable with it quickly. When we have needed help, the support team has been responsive and resolved our queries without much back and forth.

For a growing organisation, the pricing is easy on the pocket. It feels SMB friendly, so we get enterprise-grade SEO and AI visibility data without stretching the marketing budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Semrush?

The API unit limits are the biggest constraint for us. Because we use Semrush heavily through the MCP and other integrations, the units get consumed faster than we expect, so we have to plan and pace our queries carefully to stay within the allowance.

Historical data is also limited to a set number of months on our current plan. If we want to look further back for trend analysis or year-on-year comparisons, we have to move to a higher tier, which feels like a significant step up for a growing team. A more flexible add-on option for additional history or extra API units would make this much easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a logistics platform serving eCommerce brands and sellers, a large part of our demand comes from search. Semrush gives us one place to track how we rank for the keywords that matter to our business, so we can see what’s working and where we’re losing ground to competitors.

It has also helped us adapt to the shift towards AI search. The AI Visibility score shows how our brand appears in AI-generated answers, which gives us a clear direction for our AEO and GEO efforts instead of relying on guesswork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
