It is an all in one platform for the classroom. **What do you dislike about Seesaw?** I have no complaints I have not had technology issues and it was very seamless to set up and has been seamless for families to use as well. **What problems is Seesaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Communication with families, involving the families in their child’s schoolwork, progress and day-to-day activities within the classroom, sending out newsletters for announcements special dates as well as what’s happening in the classroom. I can do all of these things within one platform rather than having to use multiple different platforms, which can get confusing. ### 2. The mobile app is functional, if not slickly designed, and works for what it is intended to do. **What do you dislike about Seesaw?** The interface is a bit clunky, and the media resolution is limited; a UI/UX makeover would do a world of good and entice more parents to use it and become part of the discussion around their childrens' classroom activities. **What problems is Seesaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hassles of folder/email conversations getting lost or important information falling through the cracks; it allows me to stay up to date on what my kids are up to in school. ### 7. I can easily find the activities we need to complete, getting back to where we need to be for the next assignment causes some confusion. Also, when using our Amazon/Fire tablets, we are unable to download the app. We tried to use the internet to access what we needed from Seesaw, but when we needed to watch a video in Seesaw, we couldn't without the app. **Recommendations to others considering Seesaw:** I wasn't involved with their implementation, but it feels like thorough training should be provided to teachers on what it can do and how best to teach/communicate to students remotely using it. **What problems is Seesaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're in the middle of a pandemic. We have been in and out of school either because cases or high or because we are in quarantine for our own health reasons. The tool is allowing our children to complete contact hours for school so that they can continue learning and promote to the next grade. ### 9. I also like that students are able to respond to prompts in multiple ways to give them more student voice within the classroom. **What do you dislike about Seesaw?** I wish there was a way to record a video for instructions. I also believe there could be a better way to display the student activities according to UDL to benefit all learners. **Recommendations to others considering Seesaw:** I would try out this learning platform if you want an easy way to hold students accountability by seeing what activities they complete, what standards they are reaching, while giving them individualized feedback **What problems is Seesaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to hold students accountable with an easy way to progress monitor each student and the state standards they are reaching her activity. This is also a great platform to use to discuss performance and outcomes during parent teacher conferences ### 10. It has such a user-friendly interface that even my 6-year-old kid can use it effortlessly without any hassles. It has an easy navigation tab in the bottom. I can take real time assessments from my students to track their progress. My students can respond to the assignments in the form of a photo, drawing, video or a link. My students can then edit their photos and videos to make them more interesting. My students can also view the submissions of other students for competition. **What do you dislike about Seesaw?** My students often complain that they receive errors while trying to record a large video for submission. The notifications sent don't lead you to the assignments. Instead, they just open the application and you have to search for the assignment everywhere which is a little bit frustrating for my students **What problems is Seesaw solving and how is that benefiting you?** Due to the pandemic when all the schools were closed and education had come to a standstill, our school was looking for an amicable solution for imparting education to my students. We found Seesaw and implemented it in our organization. Inviting our students to the platform was very easy. Seesaw has helped us a lot in interacting with my students, accepting submissions and responses for assignments.
