Automation is what sold us on Schoox, and it’s why we’ve stayed. Our nightly UKG file creates accounts, and onboarding profiles, assignment rules and Org Templates assign training automatically, so new colleagues have the right courses on day one without anyone assigning them by hand. Sign-in is SSO only. The Microsoft Teams integration creates the meeting for virtual events, sends the Outlook invitation and tracks attendance. For in-person sessions, QR code check-in in the mobile app gives us reliable attendance records, which matters because we track professional development hours. With the report builder and scheduled reports, I send managers a weekly view of their team’s upcoming due dates, and managers can assign training to their own direct reports. The API and webhooks let us connect Schoox to Microsoft Power Automate for anything the interface doesn’t do. On-the-job task sign-offs and the OpenSesame content integration round it out.
The people are the other half. Our Customer Success Specialist, Kostas Michailidis, learns how we actually use the platform, so his advice fits our setup, from onboarding design to reporting. He follows through on every open item and makes sure our enhancement ideas reach the product team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Most of my wish list is around events and calendars. In-person events send an email with an .ics attachment instead of a real Outlook invitation, so many learners never get the session on their calendar. On virtual events, assigned instructors don’t automatically get the Teams invite the way learners do. There’s no clean way to offer the same session on several dates and have learners pick just one, and sessions on a course page aren’t clickable, so learners have to hunt for them. On the admin side, saving an assignment rule assigns everyone who currently matches it, with no option to assign only people who newly match. Org Templates show a count but not an exportable list of who’s in them. Due date extensions for leave only cover courses assigned before the leave is entered. I’ve submitted most of these as enhancement requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
