What do you like best about Sage Intacct?

Coming from Sage 300, I love the web-based abilities. You can duplicate windows, make font larger/smaller, customize viewing templates, and access anytime! The drag and drop interface saves me navigation time daily. I also like the graph option which shows data in other ways besides excel/raw. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage Intacct?

I see lag time when trying to load large lists. For example, list of recent vendors... it takes time for all the options to load, and being web-based if you have a slower connection, it really takes longer than server based.

Like each program, it has its quarks. Reporting could always use upgrades and the dimensions you use to define reports and fields could be more grand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sage Intacct solving and how is that benefiting you?

It’s modern and flows so much better than 300. Paying bills is a breeze, and cutting checks is much easier too—fewer clicks, with a process that finally makes logical sense. The ability to upload an attachment is really helpful because when you search the payable, you can see the backup instantly. I also like that the payable header includes an attractive banner showing how it was paid, when it was paid, and the trace #.

I also like how reconciliations flow. Once you click and “match” an item, you can filter it out so it’s no longer an option. This has saved hours of searching for a single transaction, since you can search by payee, method of payment, or transaction amount.

Reporting was always an issue in Sage 300. Here, you can pretty much create any report you want as long as the dimensions are available. You can also automate reports so you don’t have to run them every month or for every project—you can literally set it and forget it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
