What do you like best about rsyslog?

-Super easy to setup as it comes preinstalled with almost all major Linux distros

-Works in real-time

-Supports any kind of data means all type of data can be transmitted via syslog

What do you dislike about rsyslog?

-Debugging can be tricky

-Managing multiple data sources might be confusing for absolute beginners

What problems is rsyslog solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rsyslog is my go-to tool for forwarding logs to and from various applications as it works in real-time and has lower resource utilization. As it supports both TCP and UDP transfers, it makes it very easy to transfer data even when the amount is huge. Rsyslog also has agent-based log forwarding which is very useful for endpoints.
