"Office-Like Team Communication That Makes Starting Conversations Effortless"

What do you like best about Roam?

I like the part where it feels like we're just in the office and we're able to interact. The friction in communication is gone, especially for our team. We don't all share the same culture, and everyone has a different personality. Because of Roam, our team got better since it's easier to start a conversation, just one click, unlike traditional messaging apps where you still have to make a call. It feels different, even though the concept is the same; underneath the hood, it's a normal messaging app, but the experience makes a big impact. So, that's what I like most about Roam. What do you dislike about Roam?

The only thing I don’t really like about Roam is its compatibility with Windows. It feels a bit laggy and buggy, although it works fine on my other devices like my Mac and phone. I’m also not a big fan of its performance, especially when it comes to screen sharing. It’s not very smooth compared to other apps. I haven’t experienced the same kind of lag when sharing my screen on other mainstream apps. It has quite a few technical issues, but I feel like the developers will be able to fix them. What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?

I think Roam’s biggest advantage is that it’s an all-in-one platform. It has recording, transcription, the ability to record meetings, and you can even have meetings directly within the app. In a way, it replaces a lot of the different apps we use.

We don’t have to keep switching between different platforms for messaging, recording, and other productivity tools. And yes, it’s also a big plus that they’re still developing more features, which we’re excited to see.

So I feel like Roam’s main strength is how it brings together all the different tools we use to stay productive. That’s pretty much it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
