**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I like that Rippling has slashed the number of apps we juggle on the operations side and that we don't have to bounce between five different platforms anymore, as everything now lives under one roof, from payroll to bill pay to app management. It's the most affordable all-in-one suite I've come across, and the customer support has been top-notch since day one. Vendors enter their payment and tax details more painlessly than on any platform we've tried, which spares me hours of back-and-forth emails and chasing W-9s. The whole bill approval to payment workflow is smoother and faster than ever. Payroll basically runs itself once it's set up, freeing me from the eleventh-hour scramble every pay cycle. App management is a real hero, allowing me to provision or revoke software access for new hires in one go. The Bill Pay sync with QuickBooks Online, though needing a bit of manual work initially, runs like clockwork once set up correctly, and I genuinely love it. Most of our staff made the leap from our previous tools without breaking a sweat.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

The initial setup was a tougher hill to climb than I expected. We went the DIY route, which probably colored my experience, but the implementation team was always quick to respond when I hit a wall. The platform is so feature-rich that remembering where to find a specific setting can be tricky. Six weeks of daily use in, I was finally starting to know my way around. A guided setup wizard with clearer checkpoints would go a long way, since we hit a few snags around tax jurisdiction settings and benefits mapping that weren't obvious until something broke.

Rippling has streamlined our HR, payroll, and IT operations by bringing everything into one platform. The biggest value for us has been the automation workflows — onboarding new employees now takes minutes instead of hours because app access, payroll setup, and device assignments are handled automatically.

The UI is clean and easy to navigate, and integrations with tools like Google Workspace and Slack work seamlessly. We’ve also reduced administrative overhead by replacing multiple systems with Rippling, which has delivered strong ROI.

Performance has been reliable overall, and the onboarding process was well organized. Customer support has been helpful when needed, though response times can vary for more complex issues.

Overall, Rippling has significantly improved efficiency across HR and IT while making employee management much easier to scale.

One area where Rippling could improve is customer support response time for more technical or complex issues. While the support team is generally helpful, resolving advanced workflow or integration-related problems can sometimes take longer than expected.

The platform also has a wide range of features, which is powerful but can occasionally make certain settings and workflows feel overwhelming for new users. More guided onboarding resources, in-app tutorials, or simplified workflow templates would help teams adopt the platform faster.

Additionally, reporting customization could be more flexible in some areas, especially for organizations that need highly specific HR or payroll analytics. Expanding reporting options and improving filter customization would make the platform even more valuable for larger or rapidly scaling teams.

Before using Rippling, we managed HR, payroll, onboarding, and software access across multiple disconnected tools, which created a lot of manual work and increased the risk of errors. Onboarding a new employee often required coordination between HR, IT, and finance teams and could take several hours to complete.

With Rippling, we centralized these processes into a single platform and automated many repetitive tasks. Now, when a new employee joins, payroll setup, app provisioning, device assignments, and onboarding workflows happen automatically, which has reduced onboarding time significantly and improved overall efficiency.

The integrations with tools like Google Workspace and Slack have also helped simplify user management and improve security by ensuring employees only have access to the systems they need. The platform’s clean UI makes it easy for both administrators and employees to navigate without extensive training.

From an ROI perspective, consolidating multiple systems into Rippling reduced administrative overhead and saved time for both HR and IT teams. Overall, the platform has made our internal operations faster, more organized, and easier to scale as the company grows.

Rippling is an incredible tool that makes receiving my payments easier. It basically solves all the problems I had with other platforms, showing the entire compensation process and making it easier to withdraw payments. I love the ease and convenience it provides in my day. The payment tracking is very useful to understand when I will be paid and what steps I should take if any issues arise. The initial setup was very easy and instructive.

Perhaps the only thing that makes me feel a certain discomfort is the login that ends up being disconnected when the site is not accessed daily.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling has been very easy to use.  We are a small startup and have a fractional staff supporting the back office.  Rippling was easy to set up, reminds us of all the important activities, takes care of all the tax filings required, and have been very responsive to our inquiries when we had any (there have not been many!).  The system is very responsive with no issues with performance.  The pricing is just right for our small company.

To date, we have not found any issues with the tool or service.

We have used Rippling to Onboard our employees and contractors, to pay both populations, to file taxes and also for ordering and configuring our equipment for new employees. Not having to perform these functions on our own has been a great time saver.

Rippling has been very helpful in streamlining HR and employee management processes. The platform is user-friendly, organized, and makes tasks like payroll, onboarding, benefits, and device management much more efficient. I also appreciate how everything is centralized in one system, which saves time and reduces administrative work. Overall, it has been a reliable and convenient platform for both employees and administrators.

One minor downside is that some features can take a little time to learn at first, especially for new users navigating all the available tools. However, once you get familiar with the platform, it becomes much easier to use and very efficient overall.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

The only thing I have enjoyed about Rippling is the HR Ticketing app I was able to customize. Of course, we only get one with our plan, and it's probably going to cost a ridiculous amount of money for more.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Support is the single biggest failure. There is no direct phone line. You either email or use a chatbot, and you can ask both the same question and get two different wrong answers — I've tested it. Escalation to someone who actually understands the product takes way too long, and by the time you reach them, you are beyond frustrated. I genuinely feel for the support reps. The product is sprawling, constantly expanding, and they are clearly not given the training or tools to do their jobs. That isn't a rep problem. That's a leadership decision to under-resource the team that touches every customer.

The answers you do get cannot be trusted, and the problem starts in the sales cycle. Our sales rep told us Rippling could handle a state-level tax registration for us. We signed based partly on that promise. It wasn't until we were already deep in implementation that we found out it wasn't true — at which point the leverage was theirs, not ours. When I then fought for months to get real support on the issue, what I eventually received were documents containing incorrect information that, had I used them, would have caused us to double-pay withholding taxes. I was separately told that a standard federal tax form couldn't be shared with me because it contained "other companies' information" — a statement that is factually impossible if you've ever looked at the form for even five seconds. This isn't a one-off. This is a company that sells capabilities it does not have, then leaves you to clean up the consequences with a support team that gets compliance questions wrong with full confidence. 

Their own internal teams contradict each other. Rippling's help articles recommend one approach for testing the product; their support team will tell you that approach isn't allowed and push you toward an additional five-figure product instead. Two minutes after a support rep told me there was no workaround, my account manager told me the exact opposite. I should not have to triangulate between three sources inside the same vendor to find out what is true. That is not a functioning support organization — that is a company where nobody talks to each other and the customer pays for it.

The errors are not theoretical. They cost real money and create real risk. A 401(k) contribution issue was "resolved" by support copy-pasting generic instructions without ever opening the account. Those instructions led to incorrect fixes being applied to an employee's pay. When the things being mishandled are compensation and retirement contributions — the two functions employees notice immediately, and regulators notice eventually — you do not have a minor support quality issue. You have a liability.

Why I haven't left: our tech team invested significant work integrating Rippling as our identity provider, and unwinding that is non-trivial. That is the only reason. I lean on our AM and TAM constantly, both of whom I know are overworked because they are doing the job the rest of the company isn't. 

If you are in HR and considering Rippling, hear me clearly: this platform is not reliable, and the people selling it to you know that. Their support team will give you wrong answers with total confidence. Their internal teams contradict each other in the same email thread. Their "solutions" to compliance issues have, in my direct experience, created new compliance issues that I then had to clean up myself — while paying them to do that work. You will spend more time auditing Rippling than doing your actual job. You will lean on your account manager like a lifeline because no other part of this company can be trusted to get a basic answer right. I cannot recommend Rippling to anyone, in any industry, at any size. Save yourself the money. Save yourself the hours. Save yourself the regret of explaining to your CFO why the platform you championed cost the company more than it ever saved.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I really like Rippling's ease of use and intuitive interface. It has a lot of dropdowns, and although some standardization is needed on the front end, everything flows very easily and makes logical sense. I'm also a fan of how Rippling gives me the entire toolset under one management platform. Not only can I manage and deploy devices, but I also have an integrated antivirus endpoint protection program and remote control, which eliminates the need for a separate remote control product. I don't need any additional software to manage the endpoint inventory, as everything is available in one console.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

If I was thinking about improving the product, I think that during the training, they could talk more about efficient ways to onboard the users. For some organizations, maybe the onboarding via email doesn't work, maybe it's more of a personal touch.

Rippling helps us deploy laptops efficiently, manage inventory, and ensures device security seamlessly. It combines all tools under one platform, eliminating the need for separate software.

I love how user-friendly Rippling is. It clearly guides you to the right place, whether you’re looking for pay stubs, submitting a PTO request, or checking your PTO balance. Under the Money tab, you can also see when you’ll receive your next paycheck, which really helps me plan my budget around each cut-off. Requesting manager approval is hassle-free too—you just fill out the “Time off policy*,” select the dates, and add the reason. Overall, it’s really easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

There’s really nothing to dislike about Rippling. It’s a complete, all-in-one package.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Personally, I find the pay breakdown very easy to understand because it gives a clear picture of how my overtime calculations add up to my contractor payments. Since I work remotely, I also need my pay to be converted so I can view it in Philippine pesos. With Riplling, I can see the forex adjustment rate and how it contributes to the total pay, which is a transparency feature I really appreciate and consider a big plus.

My experience with Rippling especially with the unified apps provision security groups in Rippling very valuable for my scaling team. It's incredibly helpful that when a customer support agent is promoted to a senior manager track, their platform permissions across our entire software stack update automatically. This feature grants them admin access to our ticketing system and removes them from basic queue chats with just one click, making it easy to manage permissions and ensure secure access. Additionally, configuring our automated corporate Wi-Fi and VPN access profile was fast and efficient. By linking our office network hardware directly to the system's identity management tools, we could set up secure certificates for our entire staff based on their employment status, eliminating the need to ever share our master office password again.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

A laptop is being returned by remote employees using the platform prepaid shipping label. The tracking information frequently freezes or fails to update, leaving us completely in the dark about whether a piece of expensive company hardware is lost in transit or sitting in a processing center. They need a more reliable carrier integration layout.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I love the interaction with the team members within Rippling. They're eager to help, and if they don't have the answer, they can steer me to the right one. Sometimes it's a collaborative effort because there are a lot of nuanced questions out there. I also like that we have the ability to pull in all of our employees and communicate with them, with all the necessary documentation in such an organized way. Employees can get access to many things, including our EAP, and see their original offer, employment agreement, and pay stubs all in one location. It's awesome. I love a lot about Rippling. The accounting integrations are very good, and using it with tools like QuickBooks, Microsoft 365, and Calendly works great for us. The seamless setup was guided all the way, and Zach from the implementation team did a great job for us. Having everything in one spot in Rippling, from 401k to benefits and pay stubs, is so exciting to have everything accessible in one place.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Sometimes in support, I'm not asking the question the proper way. So sometimes it takes me three different times to ask the question.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling centralizes everything, making it easy to follow and giving employees great access to payroll, HR services, contracts, and benefits. We can do background checks with Checkr and I-9s with E-Verify. It's a one-stop HR tool for small businesses, which is excellent.

What I like about Rippling is how seamless it unifies payroll, benefits, and provisioning into one platform. When I onboard a new hire, everything from the paycheck setup to the laptop and benefits enrollment happens automatically in minutes, which eliminates the back and forth with multiple vendors. This gives me real-time visibility into every aspect without ever switching systems. Also, the implementation was super simple and easy. We quickly accessed all our employer data using Rippling’s prebuilt templates and porting tool. The onboarding, payroll setup, benefits enrollment, and IT provisioning integration were straightforward, almost like a training session.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I'd like to see more granular customization for finance-specific compliance and workflow. It would be great to have the ability to build fully customized access control tailored to financial regulations. Also, native integration with niche finance tools like Bloomberg would be helpful, instead of relying on third-party connectors.

I am happy with Rippling and like the automated time and attendance approval routing feature in Rippling. It has been incredibly valuable to us, especially when field workers switch between different project tasks or warehouse sites midweek. The system automatically reads their specific shift texts and forwards the hourly time cuts to the exact manager supervising that specific project, which saves us from constant payroll correction emails. I also found connecting our Microsoft 365 directory for advanced employee onboarding to be totally painless. The setup wizard synced with our main cloud directory instantly, allowing us to build a clear automated process that revokes email access and manages user profiles without needing to run custom terminal scripts. This feature significantly simplifies our network administration tasks.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

The conditional rules engine in Rippling's custom workflow builder is a bit of a bottleneck. Trying to create nonstandard permission paths, like needing a specific regional vice president to approve a hardware request only after an IT spend threshold is met, can get messy. It's almost impossible because I can't make the necessary edits to the approval process.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Rippling to manage our LMS and compliance, solving booking issues by centralizing travel bookings, avoiding missing receipts, and automating voucher generation. It saves time with JobKot's automated routing for time approvals, cutting down on payroll corrections.

Rippling’s all in one platform makes managing HR, payroll, IT and employee onboarding surprisingly seamless. I love the intuitive user interface, smooth onboarding workflows, and how easily it integrates with other tools. It’s a huge timesaver and reduces manual admin work drastically.

At times, the navigation between modules (e.g.switching from HR to IT settings) can feel slightly disjointed. Additionally, reporting can get complex for non-technical users unless templates are prebuilt. More customization on dashboards would be helpful.

Things that really work smoothly by Rippling's is their automated corporate inventory trackers that keep an eye on all our company property. It maintains an active log of specific items, such as monitors, keyboards, and phone hotspots for remote workers. This feature is invaluable as it helps us prevent missing hardware and lets us always know the status of our equipment, whether still active, broken, or already returned to the supplier. During audits, everything is readily available. Additionally, the setup process for Rippling was quite easy due to many integration options. For example, connecting with Adobe required just a single click to connect the API, which is convenient since Adobe is our primary PDF reader and editor. Lastly, I found the process of connecting our company health saving account (HSA) to be very smooth, with the system automatically linking our banking provider to employee deduction lines, allowing staff to update their pretax contribution limit directly from their personal portals without causing payroll calculation issues.

I think they need some improvement with the custom approval workflow builder. It's incredible for setting up configurations, but trying to set up a conditional rule, like requiring two specific vice presidents to sign off only if IT expenses exceed a certain amount, requires building a messy web of logic tree that constantly throws errors during setup.

I use Rippling for all of our HR materials, like getting W-2s, putting in pay, days off, filling out forms, and healthcare. I find it pretty intuitive and clear. Prior to using Ripling, we were able to manage our HR in one location, payroll separately, and manual IT provisioning – along with mismatched information across each system. At the close of each pay-period it would take a significant amount of time to reconcile all of these disparate systems. With Ripling today when an employee is added or removed from the company, there is only ONE ACTION needed in Ripling to trigger ALL OTHER actions - including laptop provisioning and benefit setup AND updating payroll information. This feature alone has reduced the “back-and-forth” chatter on our team significantly.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Reporting options are quite flexible, however creating a customized report takes a bit of knowledge in order to create one from scratch. More often than not you will either need to know what you’re looking for prior to entering the data or have someone assist you. Tasks that require only two clicks often require five clicks. This becomes annoying over time. My pet peeve is the inconsistent searching capability within the application. Sometimes I will enter common keywords, and receive no results; therefore, I’m forced to navigate through menu’s regardless. For smaller companies, the cost of licensing adds up rapidly once you begin to add additional modules.

I like its simplicity. In my previous HRIS, I had to go through so much work simply to create a new position, filling out multiple pages of forms before hiring someone. With Rippling, I just typed the name of the position and I really appreciate the ease of all of that. Even the org chart is so much better. It just works based on managers and hierarchy, which is great.  Also a big fan of their onboarding team that I've met so far. Kind, helpful, deligthful people.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

So far, one of the only things I've noticed about Rippling is that for one-on-ones, there's no Google Calendar or any kind of calendar integration that will automatically pull in recurring meetings and create upcoming agendas. That's something that I really liked about one of our previous systems. I know our managers appreciate it. I've been told that it is on the way, so that's going to be exciting.

Rippling integrates multiple disparate systems, simplifying our HR processes and reducing overly complicated work. It's easy to use and will allow our hiring to flow into our background checks and then onboarding and ultimately payroll and long-term performance management in a really seamless way.

Several things that I like is Rippling's onboarding workflow, as it significantly simplifies my workday. It feels almost magical when I hire a new team member. With just a few clicks, I select their department and seniority level, and within sixty seconds, Rippling generates their employment agreement, enrolls them in health benefits, and provisions access to all the software tools they need. Additionally, the intuitive employee data import feature made setup a breeze. We could upload existing CSV files, and Rippling smartly mapped most custom fields, which cut our implementation timeline by at least a week and allowed us to run our first payroll almost immediately.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

The organization visualization tool in Rippling feels surprisingly static compared to the rest of the platform. While the data is secure, the interface for zooming is clunky. I would love to see more interactive features like an infinite canvas style layout that allows for easier drag and drop reconstruction during departmental reorganization.

The only difficulty I had with Rippling was during the initial setup and first time entering my hours. Coming from a previous platform that required many more steps, I assumed this system worked the same way and made the process more complicated than it needed to be. Once another employee showed me how they entered their time, I realized how simple and user-friendly the platform actually is.

One thing that would have been helpful upfront was clearer guidance on what steps are not required in Rippling, such as not needing to manually log lunch breaks. After understanding that, the process became very quick and easy to use.

The platform is solid and the implementation experience was excellent. Our implementation manager was a standout: clear agendas, fast email responses, deep product knowledge, and practical advice tailored to a small team. We hired our first global contractor in Kenya and went from kickoff to first successful pay run without any friction. Setup was done in a single live session, the contractor got paid on time, and the contractor hub plus auto-generated invoices work well.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

One piece of advice for new buyers: if you have any sense that you'll eventually need EOR, full global payroll, benefits, or other Rippling products, negotiate them all into your initial contract. We signed up for just global contractor payments to start, and once you're in as a smaller contract, expansion conversations become upsells with less room for discounts than you'd get bundling everything upfront. Not a dealbreaker, just something I wish I'd known going in.

Paying our first international contractor compliantly and on a predictable schedule. As a two-person company, we needed something we could set up quickly and trust to run without daily attention.

I think it would be great to have like a main menu in the middle rather than on the left side. When you're in a rush sometimes you have to go through the dropdown menus and that takes time (especially if not used in a long time). It reduces a lot of manual effort in tracking my team's time offs and is useful for keeping track of internal trainings. Managing my personal time off and my team's time offs is made effective and less time-consuming with Rippling's features for requesting, approving, and tracking leaves. I can quickly write review requests, understand team availability, and avoid scheduling conflicts, which helps reduce confusion and increase my efficiency. The appraisal management feature helps us set and track goals and targets for each employee, making progress tracking and running review cycles consistent across the team. It's also easy for employees to set up their self-reviews and for managers to provide feedback and ratings in one place. I was able to figure out most things myself as Rippling offers a wizard-based experience that helps us understand where everything is.

Some workflows are not very intuitive, and new employees may need guidance to find the right options. Adding some help text might be beneficial, although it's not something that needs any urgent fix.

I like the ease of use that Rippling offers; it makes verifying my pay periods, pay, and taxes super simple. I also find it easy to stay on top of my position's requirements. I like the way it's organized with a super simple interface. It's available both as an app on my phone and as a desktop version, making it really easy to use and convenient to access. I especially appreciate being able to quickly access and download pay statements directly on my phone during an application process, which is incredibly efficient and saves a lot of time. The initial setup was super easy too, as I just had to click a link and sign in.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

The only thing with Rippling is sometimes it overdoes the sign-in requirements, so it wants to sign in. I've already verified my identity, and it wants to go through extra steps when I'm already logged in on my laptop. It's making me do all these extra steps on the app. It should be more integrated in my opinion. But also, it sometimes seems to lag where I've already signed in. I've already been in. It'll give me error messages I'm not logged in when actually I am. So just some little bugs that I'm sure affect most platforms.

It’s intuitive and easy to navigate, which saves our team time and reduces administrative back-and-forth. I especially appreciate how automated workflows keep processes moving efficiently while still giving us the visibility and control we need. It makes managing HR feel organized, scalable, and far less manual.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Our implementation experience with Rippling was extremely disappointing. The teams operated in silos and often seemed more focused on securing five-star reviews than ensuring we were genuinely comfortable and confident using the platform. Instead of providing hands-on, practical support, we were directed to hours of videos and tutorials. Too frequently, issues were escalated by “submitting an engineering ticket,” which made it feel as though no one on the implementation team had the expertise or authority to actually resolve problems in real time. One particularly frustrating example was when a team “took a correction payroll off our plate,” only to create significant additional issues for us. The effort required to secure any meaningful make-good was exhausting, and Rippling did very little to proactively rectify the problems or rebuild trust.

Rippling's automation and workflows are still in process of being built, but they will remove the admin of onboarding, off boarding, employee experience surveys, expensing, and more. Really happy with how much the system can do once it's built up to take care of these repetitive actions.

I really like that Rippling pulls in all of the information I need in one place. It consolidates everything together, whether it's a training to be due or making sure my onboarding was very efficient, I can see everything at a glance. I like that it takes away some of the cognitive load, just knowing I can go to Rippling and get what I need, like finding out about coworkers via the org chart or knowing which apps are approved for use. It's very straightforward to use, and I enjoy that it's a little bit whimsical, especially when I get paid, adding some personality to the experience.

Within the org chart, I find it kind of frustrating to have to click through. I wish that there was a better way that the org diagram works for me. The org chart is okay, but overall, it's just not giving me the clear view that I need, and that might be more of an organizational problem, not how Rippling is showing the information.

I like Rippling's UI for employees, which is quite user-friendly, and the advanced capabilities it offers our hourly workforce. The scheduling tool is a big help as it takes our managers away from using a spreadsheet. I appreciate how labor costs are managed, allowing managers to better understand their P&L. Additionally, the job codes feature is really useful for understanding where time is being allocated. Overall, integrating our employee data with Rippling was smooth.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I want managers to be notified when availability changes are made by an hourly employee. The current clock in/out experience is good, but 'taking breaks' is hidden, which confuses the employee. I'd want managers to be notified whenever an employee changes their availability (one time or permanently) and to be able to restrict how late employees can change their availability. I also want the scheduling tool to know when store hours are, so it can flag whenever an employee is working outside store hours and whenever a manager schedules someone outside store hours. Employees don't easily see the option to take breaks, so they clock out instead of taking the break, providing a negative experience.

I like that Rippling is very good in the policy-based card limit feature. It has simplified my work since I can set rules that automatically adjust employee spending limits based on their department or seniority level. This eliminates the need for me to manually approve every minor increase in card capacity, as the system takes over all the limits and budgets. It also blocks transactions if card spending exceeds the set limits, which is super useful. Another aspect I liked was the impressively easy initial integration with our existing bank account, allowing us to link our primary operating account in minutes, and the system categorized our historical spend data immediately to give us a clear budget baseline from day one.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I think the report engine can be quite cumbersome when trying to build a high customized cross border report. The current filtering logics require a very deep understanding of how it links different clouds, interconnect. They need to work better on the filtering logics so we can find data quickly and easier. Building the report engine can take some time.
