I find it really easy to file for time off, view my organizational data, and perform benefits changes. I have used these all roughly monthly, and find them really great to use. I feel that the approvals happen smoothly and I am notified when needed, and no more than that. In these ways, Rippling is pretty straightforward, and for that I'm grateful. It really is a nice product. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** I am also an end user of Rippling MDM, and I feel that this offering from them is lacking. I use MacOS. My organization has set up policies for there to be default programs (reasonable), but when implemented in Rippling it reorganizes the icons in my dock and resizes the dock every time my computer is restarted. I also have an edge case of a situation for their benefits enrollment, and sometimes my year-end selections end up being jumbled a little with my healthcare provider. When that has happened, their support has been very responsive, but it's still a headache to deal with. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rippling makes our workforce work. For 90% of Windows 11 Pro laptops, Rippling reports basic statistics for me. **What do you dislike about Rippling IT?** When I started my role, I was new to the business and unsure what sort of budget I could spend on IT Operations / Security Management software. While Rippling does sell its MDM functionality as a separate line item along with IAM, I feel that I was over promised functionality in the pre-sales process and now have a lot of friction in the tool I purchased. I was specific in the pre-sales cycles that our business already had HR functionality with Gusto that we enjoyed, and our business did not have an appetite to change. I was ensured that this was ok, and that purchasing MDM and IAM would be fine. What was not specified in the demos that I saw was that on most of the home dashboards, there is a pop up that attempts to cross-sell and up-sell you into different features that cannot be removed. If you click on the X to close that pop up and navigate to a different page, the pop up will be back again. Recently, a secondary pop up appeared, taking up almost the entirety of my browser screen. Compared to a newspaper, it was as if the demoed SaaS app occurred 'below the fold'. I'm in Rippling multiple times a day to find information about people's laptops I would recommend that if you are in the demo process of Rippling, see if their processes work out of the box for you. If you want to go against the grain, I don't think you'll find success. I cannot rename Windows based machines in the MDM, which means that I still have to use a separate inventorying worksheet. I cannot use the Google Integration to bring in only a specific group of people. Our distribution business does not require most people to have a laptop, and the integration brought an extra 100 licenses that I had to work with their support to get a credit for because they aggressively billed me for the overage. That meant that implementing this solution was by hand, customizing .csv templates. They require you to give everyone's personal information for onboarding - you cannot turn this off. It took me an extra 2 months to deploy Rippling because I had to come up with custom solutions to work around Rippling's systems. Their customer support is friendly and helpful, but does not have much actual power. Their implementation support was top notch, and got me to a good state where I do not have to manage Rippling actively. **What problems is Rippling IT solving and how is that benefiting you?** Rippling solves updating laptops with security focused operating system updates. It helps me reset user's laptop passwords remotely. I can install software, although that install process is dependent on the agent picking up from the Rippling servers, which feel like they only update once every 5 - 10 minutes at best. ### 37.
