**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I use RingEX for all communications for my office and business phones. I really appreciate being quickly able to see a transcript of the voicemails sent to my email, which is convenient and saves time. I enjoy the ability to change how and where my phone rings, whether connected through my laptop, phone app, or using the desk phone. It's great that I'm able to essentially answer my phone from any device, whether I'm physically at my office or elsewhere. The initial setup was very easy, which was a big plus.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

There aren't any features that I dislike.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I quickly see voicemail transcripts in my email, saving time. I can answer my phone from any device, which is great wherever I am.

I feel that setting up RingEX — especially call flows, messaging, extensions, and advanced features — can be confusing or time-consuming, particularly for small businesses or those not familiar with UCaaS platforms.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I find RingEX's ease of use and easy configuration to be the most beneficial, allowing us to get it to do what we need it to do. It really saves time since the phone system handles work for us and can perform specialized functions that were previously unavailable. I appreciate that it frees up people to focus on more important work. The AI auto attendant answers calls, routes callers successfully, and even answers questions that would normally require one of our team members. The initial setup was extremely easy, which is a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

I think there's some room for improvement where RingEX leads users in onboarding so that they complete the tasks that we want them to complete, like setting up their voicemail prompts, and their schedules. The issue with call groups was understanding how to apply it specifically to the setup that we wanted to have which essentially was cascading phones which does work.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RingEX frees me from wired, inflexible systems, automating calls, and supporting workflows with AI auto attendants, allowing my team to focus on more critical work.

I like how the notes are posted after each phone call, with an in-depth summary of what was discussed. It’s really helpful when I’m taking calls all day and need to refer back to the details later.

Sometimes the app on my computer crashes, but for the most part it only happens when I have a bunch of tabs open.

RingEX (Ring_central) is easy to use and keeps all communication (calls, messages, and meetings) in one place. The call quality is reliable, and the system works well across both desktop and mobile, making it easy to stay connected from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Sometimes the app can lag or drop calls, especially with weaker internet connections. Also it sometimes will not send you messages sent by my drivers if they have a lumper payment link

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

What I like best about RingEX is how it brings everything I need for communication into one unified platform. Instead of juggling separate tools for calls, messaging, and meetings, I can do it all in one place, which saves time and keeps my work more organized.

The call quality and reliability are strong, and features like call routing and voicemail‑to‑email make managing conversations much smoother. I also really appreciate how the system stays in sync across desktop and mobile, so I can stay connected whether I’m at my desk or on the go. Overall, RingEX has made my communication more efficient and less fragmented, helping me focus on what matters most.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

While RingEX has been very helpful overall, there are a few things that have been less than ideal for me. First, the interface can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming at first — especially with so many features packed in — and it took me a while to get comfortable navigating everything.

I’ve also noticed that the mobile app, though functional, doesn’t always feel as smooth or responsive as the desktop version, which can be frustrating when I’m trying to work on the go. Some advanced features I’d like to use more often require a bit of setup or technical knowledge, and I’ve had to spend extra time figuring those out.

Lastly, there have been occasions where support response times were slower than I expected, so getting help wasn’t always as quick as I hoped. Overall, these issues haven’t outweighed the benefits, but they’re areas where I think RingEX could improve.”

RingEX has been a game-changer for the way I communicate and manage tasks. Before using it, I constantly had to switch between different apps for calls, messages, and meetings, which was time-consuming and frustrating. With RingEX, everything is in one place — I can make calls, send messages, join video meetings, and even manage faxes from the same platform.

The smart call routing and voicemail-to-email features have made it much easier to stay on top of important communications, and the mobile app allows me to stay connected even when I’m away from my desk. I also appreciate how it integrates with other tools I use, so I never lose track of client information or workflow updates. I really appreciate that RingEX is easy to set up, allowing us to handle everything from phones, extensions, schedule, and after-hours settings effortlessly with the excellent customer service support. It's great to have a dedicated representative like Myra, who's knowledgeable and guides us well. I enjoy everything RingEX offers because it simplifies the management of phone systems, making it suitable for running not just our practice but any company needing phone systems. The option to download the app on a computer or cell phone and handle calls without needing an office phone is convenient, as it provides a dedicated phone number for communication. The support team is fantastic, knowledgeable, and helps walk through the process of fixing any issues while also helping me learn the system. It's amazing that the initial setup was easy with their help, and I'm very happy with the system, especially since it keeps getting better with updates.

We have found things that have come up, recently we found out that afterhours messages were being emailed to the incorrect email, so it was a setup typo issue.

It's easy for handling phone systems and adaptable for practice needs, supporting after-hours calls and call queues efficiently. The ease of use, simplicity, and the support around it. Also, the call quality is pretty good. Most of the time I sound clear. The mobile app works fine. Also the tools provided to do adminstrative work is very robust.

The app is sometimes unresponsive when trying to answer a call or perform another action.

What I like best about RingEX is how seamlessly the platform brings communication and collaboration together. None of these issues are deal-breakers, but refining the interface and improving consistency would make the experience even better.

The call to text feature is amazing and we record all our calls as well. 

It also improves reliability and consistency. Features like call routing, voicemail-to-text, and mobile access ensure I never miss important messages, whether I’m in the office or on the go. The platform also helps streamline workflows, thanks to integrations that connect easily with other business tools.

I use RingCentral at the enterprise level. I am responsible for managing RingCentral users and licenses within the organization.

It is a complete tool, which contains many services and features for making international calls.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

The only negative to this type of tools is that they are limited to the internet connection you have, from your Internet service provider - ISP.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows you to make international calls without so many problems. The call quality is excellent. Allows sending SMS to customers and suppliers.

I like how easy it is to set up RingEX on my personal phone to redirect calls. I'm not always by my laptop, so having my phone with RingEX ensures I don't miss important business calls. The initial setup was simple, and I was able to generate numbers with ease. Overall, RingEX works great for our organization by giving our admin staff access to their own business numbers and separating business from personal calls.

More prettier interface

I like that RingEX separates business from personal calls and it's easy to set up on my phone. I don't miss business calls when I'm away from my laptop. Setup was simple; generating numbers was easy.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

What I like most about RingEX is how simple and easy the system is to use. We recently switched from a cumbersome Cisco setup, and the difference has been huge. Everything is easier to navigate, and finding what you need is quick. The implementation was straightforward, and their customer support has been great from the start. The feature set is solid, and I haven’t run into anything I couldn’t do. Integrating RingEX with other apps, such as Teams, was quick and painless. I use the system every day and couldn’t be happier.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

I have yet to find anything that I don't like about the system.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform has given me peace of mind and I don't have to worry about maintaining servers on premises just for the phone system and having to upgrade to get new features or missing out on features if you don't upgrade. This has increased our uptime and helps us better serve our customers.

I also really appreciate that I can text from my phone while using my RingEX call back number, which keeps my personal information private. I like how all the tools in RingCentral are integrated, and how reliable the service is overall. My calls don’t get dropped, I rarely run into network problems, and the server almost never has issues. Customer service is always great, and even the support chat team is awesome.

The admin portal and the help center have been getting more confusing over time as new features are added. Since not every plan includes every feature, and not every team uses all the features they do have, it can be difficult to navigate. In particular, it’s hard to track down specific functions you know exist but don’t use on a daily basis.

It’s an all-in-one system that combines a phone system, team chat, and faxing, which saves money and consolidates them all into one locaiton.

I like the feature of being able to answer calls from anywhere as long as we're signed in on our cell phones. It keeps our personal information safe when calling customers. I also appreciate seeing who's available, who's offline, and who's on a call. I like the simplicity of the HUD extension review. I enjoy the text messages, the easiness of the voicemails, and the HUD. The ability to mask my call and transfer calls to our technicians in the field, along with the capability to treat calls easily from desk to desk, are beneficial.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Definitely the onboarding. The onboarding was very confusing and I was misinformed about how the extensions, licenses, and porting worked. I was told to port out all my numbers when I really didn't need to, which was a big pain. Customer service was not sympathetic when I hadn't been able to use the product for three months and was still being billed. It took speaking to a manager to get some kind of compensation. Learning the product was also challenging as it has more features than I'm used to. Setting up the phones was difficult, and I had to keep calling support. It's confusing trying to figure out how the product works with other platforms like Google Chat and ServiceTitan.

I like that RingEX lets me see who's available, streamline call transfers, mask my call, and manage voicemails easily. The text messaging is great, but I wish voicemails could be sent to more users.

I love the flexibility and forward-thinking that RingEX provides, especially with the implementation of their new AI features that benefit our business and make the jobs of our associates easier. We appreciate the use of the AI receptionist, which is helping us direct callers more effectively to users who can assist them with their specific needs. The ability to access cloud services is another aspect I like about RingEX. We are also excited about demoing the new AVA product to see how it can further benefit our users.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Reporting is one aspect that needs to be explored. We utilize a large number of call queues and reporting is very limited. For example, we need better reporting on time to abandon in queues, when users are logged into the queue to accept calls and where calls were ended...by the caller or the user. Importing the phone numbers from previous carriers was the hardest part for us with nearly 1000 associates at the time. Each user had both a local DID and toll free number assigned to them, not including all the other phone numbers for hunt groups or as RingEX refers to them now, call queues.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use RingEX for voice, SMS, and meetings to enhance communication for over 1300 associates. It supports remote and office work with desktop and mobile access, while keeping us compliant in healthcare. AI features streamline operations, making work easier for the team.

While RingCentral offers robust features and functionality, my experience as a solo business owner has revealed several areas for improvement in both onboarding support and platform flexibility.

Onboarding and Account Management

As an online business setup, I was not assigned an account manager and received no proactive outreach during the critical implementation phase. When I initiated contact for assistance, the support representatives provided inconsistent information and failed to follow through on commitments. This left me navigating the platform setup independently with numerous unresolved questions. A dedicated onboarding specialist who actively engages new customers would significantly improve the initial experience rather than relying solely on self service resources like Ring University.

Feature Limitations for Solo Entrepreneurs

The platform's architecture appears optimized for team environments, which creates inefficiencies for single user businesses. Many features remain unutilized in my current configuration, representing unnecessary overhead for a solo operation.

Most critically, RingCentral's handling of multiple phone numbers presents a significant operational challenge. My previous platform allowed a single user account to manage two distinct numbers (toll free and local) for separate business entities, with full SMS/MMS capabilities and clear customer identification for each line. This functionality enabled appropriate auto responses and maintained clear business separation without requiring additional user licenses.

RingCentral's current structure requires separate user accounts for this same functionality, effectively doubling my operational costs a substantial burden for small business budgets.

Feature Parity Request

As a RingEX Ultra user, I would greatly benefit from access to the omnichannel capabilities currently exclusive to the CX platform. The ability to engage customers seamlessly across multiple communication channels would enhance customer experience and streamline operations, even for smaller businesses. This feature integration would provide significant value without requiring a full platform migration.

Recommendations for Improvement

*Implement true multi-site/multi-number functionality within single user accounts
*Develop a structured onboarding program with dedicated specialists for new customers
*Update and maintain help documentation to align with current platform features and eliminate broken links
*Consider creating a tier specifically designed for solo entrepreneurs with appropriate feature sets and pricing

While RingCentral's core technology is solid, addressing these gaps would make it a more viable solution for the growing segment of solo business owners and micro-enterprises.

Additionally, the old system didn't have features that RingEx brought to our table.  After hour calls and emergency service calls have become a team effort, not a single person voicemail box.

RingEX is a good product. However, our outbound calls are STILL being marked as potential spam. We are not making robocalls, or mass calls of any kind. Calls to our consistent customer base are being marked as spam. RC has been very unhelpful in resolving this issue. It is incredibly frustrating and would make it unlikely for me to recommend RingEX.

Our account manager takes too long to respond to emails—we consistently wait at least four days for a reply. This is not a good look, especially as we are considering leaving RingCentral.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing. If anything, having this account adds to our problems. We were locked into a contract for 170 licenses when we only needed 30. We operate on year-to-year agreements, yet our account manager continues to push 24- and 36-month renewals. Since we raise funding each quarter, we are not in a position to commit to terms that long.

I like the customer service and their online portal. I also appreciate the feature of having both a desktop phone and the cell phone app ring at once. The ease to control the hours of operation and each phone is really valuable. This is important for us because we have busy days, and having employees work remotely with full phone access gives us peace of mind.

Sometimes billing might fluctuate year by year but when I reach out we come to a resolution. Sometimes when people need to email me for an unresolved issue, it takes a while. But it's not often items are unresolved after the initial call.

RingEX makes it so easy to connect everyone via video, call, and text. As the admin of our phones, I find managing and changing settings with RingEX to be easy. The platform is an industry leader in all aspects of communication, making calls, video chat, and text seamless and easy to use. Swapping from our previous system was easy, and the initial setup was very easy. I always talk about how RingEX has made our company top tier and encourage other companies to swap to RingEX.

Having a limit on how many can have text message enabled is a pain point for RingEX. Currently with the campaigns, we can only have 49 users per campaign.

I find RingEX user-friendly and dependable. I really like how they've integrated the Zoom platform into their own, making it easy for me to start video meetings without needing another platform. Having the RingEX app open all day means I can quickly click to set up a meeting. I also enjoy the solid platform it provides as a phone system, alongside the other features of RingEX that are available to users.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

I Like monitoring everything from my computer screen. I make phone calls from Ring Central on my computer and never use my phone, just a headset.  I can also see who is available to take calls and who is logged in at any given time.  Customer service has been outstanding.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

It is often confusing when trying to navigate "help" on my own.  Changing things, such as voice, IVR menus, and auto receptionist require many steps.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visual representation of phone calls and messages.  Being able to record conversations for quality purposes. Easier for employees who work from home.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

Solid phone system with many features.
Switching to a cloud phone system helped us manage multiple sites communication easily.
RingCentral had the most advanced options, the API was more robust than other systems we reviewed.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

You have to have a separate system for Contact Center (we used RingCX)
The two systems communicate together but it is still a little disjointed.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

communication across multiple sites and call control through API technology.

**What do you like best about RingEX?**

The task manager enables me to monitor workflows across different departments and teams effectively. The meeting features are exactly what we need to maintain momentum on the business side. I really enjoy the chat functionality, and the GIFs add a fun, lighthearted touch. Having access to a wide range of phone and IVR options allows us to keep growing without ever missing a call.

Customer support is a phone call or ticket away. Always friendly and thorough.

**What do you dislike about RingEX?**

Sometimes, when I check off recurring tasks, they do not reappear as expected. This issue can be frustrating when trying to keep track of ongoing responsibilities.

**What problems is RingEX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, we managed phone calls using a smaller site that offered fewer accessible features. With RingEx, our team is now able to stay coordinated and work together on a single platform.
