Honestly, the biggest difference for me has been not having to dig through three different places every time a customer follows up. We get a lot of calls and texts about the same jobs. Someone emails a drawing, then calls two days later asking if we got it, then texts a photo of the fixture they’re trying to match. Before, all of that was scattered across different spots. Now it all shows up in the same agent screen. If I’m out on the floor and a customer texts, “any update on the 6061 parts?”, I can pull up the full history right there without walking back to the office computer. That’s saved me more time than I expected. The skills routing has also been really practical for a small team. There are only four of us handling customer stuff, and it routes the more technical questions to the guys who’ve been here longer, while quote requests go to the two of us who actually know the pricing. It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot better than whoever picks up first trying to wing it. I’ve also ended up using the AI suggestions more than I thought I would. When someone calls about an old order, it pulls up the last couple of interactions and sometimes even suggests what they might be asking about. It’s not magic, but it definitely cuts down on the “hold on, let me look that up” moments—especially when the shop is loud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Setting it up was a pain. The sales guy made it sound pretty straightforward, but it wasn’t. Getting the phone tree, after-hours message, and the Salesforce screen pop working the way we wanted ended up taking a couple of weeks of evenings. A lot of the settings are buried, and they aren’t always labeled in a way that makes sense if you’re not already familiar with contact center software. The reports still annoy me. I just want a simple daily breakdown of how many calls and chats we handled and how long they took, but getting a clean version of that still takes more clicking around than it should. Support is hit or miss. Simple stuff gets answered fine, but when we had SMS messages delayed for about a week and a half last winter, it took three different tickets before someone finally fixed it. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it’s not great when customers are waiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
