What I like about Recast is that it seems to make a lot of the everyday Intune and endpoint work easier. Instead of having to write scripts for everything or jump around between different places, a lot of the tools are right there in one spot and are easy to use. The Insights section also looks really useful for checking device age, warranty, disk space, software, and overall health. What I don’t like is that some of the better features are locked behind the paid versions, so depending on what we actually need, the cost could add up pretty quickly. On the Intune side, it also feels newer and not as mature yet compared to the ConfigMgr tools. I’m also not a fan of having another tool to manage if Microsoft ends up adding some of these features later. Overall it looks useful, but I’d want to make sure we’re using enough of it to really justify the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
