I use Resource Guru to match our kitchen installation sequence to crew availability, with leave already marked, so I can give clients a handover date I can keep even if a fitter becomes unavailable at short notice. I can quickly see whose site timesheets are missing before passing on-site hours on for our safety statistics, and I no longer need separate spreadsheets for leave and hours. I set it up for our install teams myself without needing support. I use the week view daily and switch to the month view when a long cabinet lead time means I need to plan ahead. The historical records helped settle a client dispute because they showed who was booked and when. Automatic email updates keep fitters’ diaries in step and spare me a round of telephone calls. I also use Resource Guru alongside Google Calendar and Xero, where the on-site hours go after I check the site timesheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My one complaint is the drag-and-drop, which reacts to the lightest touch. A careless click moved a fitter’s booking onto another job, and I only found out when he called to ask why his schedule had changed. A prompt asking me to confirm the move would have prevented that.
