We have been using the RedAlert NMX software since April of 2025. I've been happy with the program so far. The software works well with the Responder App, so my firefighters can easily perform truck and equipment checks on their phones. The Incident Reporting process is as simple as Neris allows. The scheduling module fills in the staff riding the apparatus if used correctly. There are tons of reports available for my Chief and Township Supervisors to review. I think the software is worth the price we are paying. We use it daily for equipment checks, inspections, training, scheduling, incident reporting, equipment tracking, incident responses, and many other activities. I understand it is not a scheduling software by design, we still use When to Work as our main scheduling software because the Red Alert schedule module isn't as easy to use. I duplicate the W2W information into the Red Alert schedule. We use the software every day for our Fire Code Inspections. The inspection form filling process doesn't flow very well. We have had a lot of issues getting the violation photos included in the email we send to the customer. Our county CAD system only started communicating with the Red Alert program recently. But a lot of times, the mapping is way off. For example, we have a road called East County Line Rd. It is our border with Bucks County. There is also another County Line Rd that borders Delaware County. Dispatches involving streets like that often get mapped to the wrong location. It means the AVL app on the tablet is now useless because you would have to manually type in the address while bouncing down the road at emergency speed.
