**What do you like best about Recurly?**

We've been a Recurly customer for several years, and our experience has been consistently positive.

Every customer support interaction has been professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely personable.  They take the time to understand our changing needs and present options that make sense for our business rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

There isn't anything that I dislike about Recurly.  The UI/UX is great.  We only have one integration, but there are no issues with it.  There are no performance issues.  There are no complaints about the pricing and we really don't use the AI Intelligence.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Another aspect of the partnership that I truly appreciate is having a dedicated Customer Success Manager. It is reassuring to have a consistent point of contact who understands our business and is always willing to answer questions and provide guidance. Having someone who is proactive, responsive, and invested in our success has made a real difference in our overall experience with Recurly.

**What do you like best about Recurly?**

One of the biggest benefits of Recurly has been the improved client experience. Automated receipts, renewal processing, and payment notifications provide consistency and reduce administrative burden for both clients and staff. The platform has allowed our team to spend less time on manual billing tasks and more time supporting our clients.

Also, support is very responsive in helping us when there are any concerns, as implementation comes with questions and adjustments.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

One area for improvement is how account names are represented in reporting. Currently, reports identify the billing name rather than the individual subscription or account owner. For organizations like ours, where one person may pay for multiple family members, this makes reporting and reconciliation challenging. It would be valuable to have the option to report on both the billing contact and the subscribed client/account owner.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recurly has transformed what was previously a highly manual subscription process into an automated, standardized workflow. It has improved operational efficiency, reduced administrative effort, enhanced the client billing experience, and provided a scalable platform that supports growth across multiple clinics.

**What do you like best about Recurly?**

I really appreciate how specifically it can be set up to match the customer’s needs. Everything is organized in one place, and its integration with our finance software has never failed.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

Sometimes it automatically prorates the amount for the service I’m trying to charge, which means I have to either fiddle with the numbers or send two separate invoices to get it right.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recurly helps us automate and manage our subscription billing, which significantly reduces manual work for our accounts receivable team. It also makes the customer lifecycle easy to manage. For us, that means less time spent on administrative tasks and more time focused on resolving customers’ issues or concerns.

As a small, lean business, Recurly saves me a huge amount of time. I can focus on building my software while they handle payment gateway updates and billing infrastructure. It's reliable, continually improving, and backed by excellent support.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

The main drawback is the pricing increases, which can be challenging for a small business, but the value and time savings have continued to justify the investment.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recurly handles subscription billing, recurring payments, and payment gateway integrations, so I don't have to. As a small business, this saves me a significant amount of development and maintenance time, allowing me to focus on building my product instead of managing billing infrastructure.

Recurly is excellent software for managing subscription billing and related needs. Its platform is organized, clean, and easy to understand, making navigation straightforward. Their customer support is outstanding and, in my experience, among the best in the industry.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

You can’t manually change the usernames or account IDs of new customers, which makes sense; however, for my business the ability to do so would be nice.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They allow me to integrate many different services, which makes managing my business easier. They go above and beyond to resolve any issues I’ve had; that support is priceless, since I own and operate my business entirely with a very small team.

Recurly is absolutely packed full of analytics - giving you everything you need to confidently make decisions about your subscription business.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

There honestly isn't much to dislike about Recurly. If anything, I'd love some more analytics available on involuntary churn reasons (decline reasons) so that we can confidently address any underlying issues with payments.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recurly is really great at revenue recovery. Its advanced dunning, retry models and card updater features are great at dealing with involuntary churn, meaning that you can focus on improving your core experience to deal with the voluntary side of churn.

**What do you like best about Recurly?**

The automated dunning engine and subscription modeling tools are essential for managing our fintech billing cycles. The machine learning backed smart retries have transformed my workflow by replacing manual payment reconciliation with an automated recovery process that saves me several hours of administrative work each week. I regularly use the revenue recognition reports and the robust API integration to bridge the gap between our billing data and accounting standards which ensures our financial visualizations remain accurate across all platforms without manual spreadsheet manipulation. An unexpected benefit has been the granular coupon and credit management system which allows our team to issue prorated adjustments instantly within the UI and prevents data discrepancies in our reporting without needing developer support.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

The reporting suite and analytics dashboard can feel rigid when trying to perform deep-dive segmentation beyond standard subscription metrics. As an analyst, I often need to slice data by custom variables unique to our fintech model, but the limited flexibility in the built-in reporting UI forces me to export raw data into external tools for more granular visualization. Expanding the custom report builder to allow for more complex multi-object filtering would eliminate this additional step and keep more of our data lifecycle management directly within the platform.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled with manual revenue recognition and high involuntary churn due to fragmented payment data, but now we can automate the entire billing lifecycle and revenue recovery process which has resulted in a 15% increase in recovered revenue and saved our team roughly 20 hours of manual reporting each month. Before implementing Recurly, reconciling prorated credits and complex subscription changes for our financial advisors was a bottleneck that required constant developer intervention and manual spreadsheet tracking. After implementation, the robust API integration and automated dunning engine have streamlined our operations by ensuring that our financial visualization tools reflect accurate real time data while freeing up our analysts to focus on growth metrics rather than payment troubleshooting.

Powerful analytics dashboards and ability to dig deeper for more granular insights. Also, Recurly Engage was a significant improvement over Chargebee Retention in terms of flexibility with offers and testing.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

There is an onboarding curve, though this is typical with more robust platforms. While we didn't opt for this, more hands-on training would have been useful in the beginning.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From my perspective, the biggest improvement was with the out of the box dashboards + Recurly Engage for retention optimization.

I like that Recurly ensures all our subscription orders are taken care of. Their team is professional and helpful, always willing to go the extra mile. I really value the text message feature that sends a notification a few days before a subscription order goes through, giving our subscribers the option to modify, pause, or cancel their orders. I also appreciate that Recurly is more user-friendly and cost-effective compared to our previous solution, ReCharge.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

An additional text message notification would be very helpful. Adding a one day heads up text notification.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Recurly for managing our subscription software, ensuring all subscription orders are taken care of without issues.

**What do you like best about Recurly?**

The Recurly team I work with has extensive knowledge and experience that has helped guide the staff at our non-profit car club through the implementation and now ongoing support of our auto renewal membership payment program.

**What do you dislike about Recurly?**

Recurly isn't an inexpensive service. But I feel you get great value in Recurly's product scalability, reliability, accuracy and their industry knowledge shared through webinars and training sessions.

**What problems is Recurly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our non-profit car club struggled converting auto renewing payments to industry standards. After implementation, we're now achieving above 90% success rate with reoccurring payments.
