I use Rapport for digital human projects, and I like that it gives me a full speech-to-speech animated character with good affectation and animation. I like that it’s a fully end-to-end package and that I can choose my service and inference providers, which lets me right-size the solution for my customers. It has a good library of ready characters, and I find the web portal easy to use. I can see my consumption of the different service APIs, which helps me control costs and price my projects properly for customers. Compared with Convey AI, Rapport gave us better fidelity on pricing and was an overall better product. I also got a lot of support from the Rapport engineers, so setup was pretty simple for us. I sometimes have a little difficulty with connectivity, depending on usage. I’m not sure it’s a Rapport-specific problem, since it happens across a lot of services we use, but better mirroring on local or better geographically placed sites could improve the service.
