"Personalized AI Avatars Support Student Learning, Despite Some Hiccups"

What do you like best about Rapport?

I like using Rapport’s AI avatar to have students discuss their submitted work and the ability to download the transcript to analyse what they’ve learned. If I did this in person it would take much more time, and testing the product showed that it can carry out what I intend it for. It also helps students have more accountability for their work. I appreciate that the team understands what I need, responds quickly to avatar tweaks, and handles challenges well. Setup was very easy, and the Rapport team gave me great support. I think the AI avatar is going to be very effective for supporting student learning and assessments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Rapport?

I notice some lag when I go into the app, and latency could be improved. Some ways of using the app can feel a little clunky, and the avatar sometimes appears a little artificial. It would be good if the avatar felt more natural. I’d also like to see a rubric added so the work can be assessed, though I understand this is just an MVP and that can come later. What problems is Rapport solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Rapport’s AI avatar to orally test students on their submitted work and then I review the transcripts. I would usually end up spending 20–30 minutes on each viva, multiplied by the number of students in the class.
