What do you like best about Quickbase?

I like Quickbase for its flexibility managing specialized work flows. Because of my experience in the area of university public relations, I found it particularly useful in organizing consultations of the media of communication, information of the different departments, records of press releases and updates of approvals. We use a structured tracking system to connect the information received from different university departments with the corresponding communications directed to the media. This facilitated the identification of sources of information, the tracking of pending responses and the maintenance of coherence in official communications. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

Quickbase could improve is the ease of use of complex workflows for users without technical knowledge. The configuration of customized processes for the tracking of media queries and the coordination between departments required some initial understanding of the platform. Also consider that the management of multilingual content could be simpler, especially when working with press releases in Hindi and English, where maintaining the coherence and accuracy of the data is fundamental. What problems is Quickbase solving and how is that benefiting you?

Management of clarifications directed to the media and the monitoring of official information of the university. In the field of public relations of universities, the information follows the proceedings of different departments, including those of academic matters, examinations, research and administration.

We use a structured workflow to register the queries received from the media, assign them to the corresponding departments, collect supporting information and maintain a record of the verified responses. One application that was especially useful was the tracking of corrections and clarifications related to news about the university. Instead of searching among numerous emails and dispersed documents, we could maintain a centralized log that would connect the original consultation, the clarification of the department, the status of the approval and the final response.

This improved coordination, reduced the chances of passing on pending communications and allowed a more organized approach to relations with the media. It also facilitates the consultation of historical communication records to manage similar requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
