"Quickbase Brings Structure and Speed to Complex Engineering Workflows"
4/5
What do you like best about Quickbase?

Coordinating complex hardware and embedded design processes means ensuring that every component specification, revision detail, and prototype checkpoint stays fully aligned, and Quickbase has finally given our engineering department the structure we were missing. The interface makes it easy and intuitive to move between multi-level bills of materials and design validation runs without overwhelming the team with visual clutter. By connecting the software to our cloud-based corporate storage and project repositories, we can keep our CAD designs and parts procurement synchronized without any double entry. Even when we’re scanning through large catalogs of components and older build records, the database remains responsive and fast, with no noticeable delays. The intelligent automation layer also helps by flagging missing tolerances and incomplete design approvals before we ever reach the board manufacturing stage. With the comprehensive configuration support that let us set up custom approval procedures, the software has delivered tangible benefits for us from the very beginning. What do you dislike about Quickbase?

One issue that becomes especially frustrating when I’m putting together sprint schedules is that the interface can feel rigid and dated, particularly when I need to build custom technical tables or engineering dashboards. Connecting data to proprietary CAD databases and bespoke simulation tools often takes a lot of scripting, or even third-party middleware, and with bulky technical datasets I sometimes run into synchronization delays. The native automation tool is useful for straightforward relational workflows, but it frequently struggles with unstructured technical datasheets and engineering notes. On top of that, first-level support seems focused mainly on closing tickets rather than consulting directly on technical relational table problems. Finally, the licensing options can become prohibitively expensive for small development teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
