**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

The interface is generally easy to navigate, and the cloud-based design allows users to access information from virtually anywhere. I also liked the ability to track customer interactions, manage renewals, and automate routine tasks, which can improve efficiency and help agencies stay organized.

Another advantage is its integration with other Vertafore products and insurance carrier systems, making it easier to manage policies and client information in one place. The reporting features provide useful insights into agency performance, sales activity, and customer retention.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

On the downside, some users may find the system has a learning curve when first implementing it, especially if they are transitioning from another agency management platform. Customization options can also be somewhat limited compared to larger enterprise CRM systems.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem it helps us with is client management and follow-up. It benefits us by keeping us on track with our clients and making it easier to stay consistent with follow-ups.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

As someone who has used QQCatalyst for over four years, both as a user and now as an agency owner, I appreciate how comprehensive it is. It enables my team to manage both personal and commercial lines efficiently, and I appreciate the way it keeps client information organized and easily accessible. It's user-friendly once you understand its layout! The report-building feature is also useful for tracking renewals, pending tasks, and sales.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

Some parts of the system feel a bit outdated or "old school" in terms of layout and navigation. There’s a learning curve when training new employees, and certain functions (like document organization) could be more modern or intuitive. I’ve never used another AMS to compare directly, but I do feel that while QQ gets the job done, there’s room for improvement.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QQCatalyst helps streamline my agency’s daily operations by keeping client data, policies, and documents centralized and accessible. It reduces the need for back-and-forth between spreadsheets or paper files, which saves time and helps avoid errors. It also helps with task tracking, renewal reminders. As an agency owner, it gives me more visibility into what my team is working on and helps us stay organized as we grow.

  ### 3. Easy, Fast Access to Detailed Customer and Carrier Data Tracking

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

My favorite thing about QQ is the ability to enter and track a huge amount of data from customer information to carrier info, commissions, fees, and individual customer information. I find that it's very easy to find what I need quickly.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I don't like that some data doesn't download directly from the carriers. I also don't like that to quote with carriers, there doesn't seem a way to link to that carrier and save user credentials in QQ.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

QQ is helping us keep our customer information organized and secure. We can quickly find the information we need through the search function. It's also the solution to keeping all production and renewal data in one place where it can be easily obtained.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I find QQCatalyst very easy to use, which is great for learning more about the product every day and also makes it simple to teach new employees how to use it. Integrating it with our email and texting works very well, ensuring consistency in the customer's profile with communications. It's valuable because all emails and text messages are directly tied to the customer's profile, providing all of the information we need when speaking to the customer. Onboarding new agents has gone smoothly because the current agents demonstrate live functionality, making on-the-job training very effective. New agents acclimate to using QQCatalyst pretty quickly.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I would like QQCatalyst to prompt the insurance agent if they want to leave a note in a customer's profile. Often, the insurance agent accesses the profile, reviews information, but they forget to enter their notes. If there was a prompt, that would be extremely beneficial.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QQCatalyst to track customer activity, profiles, policies, and pending customers. It's easy to use and teach to new employees. Integrates well with email and texting, maintaining consistency in customer communication and keeping all information in front of us.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I love being able to add notes and to be able to drop policy documents into QQ Catalyst. Makes it unnecessary to have a separate share folder. I also like that it generates Acord forms with all the policy info prefilled, especially for commercial policies.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I wish that it would bridge info automatically from PL Rating without the extra steps, because downloads take a day to a few days, id rather not have to re-type all of the insureds info.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solves having to take massive notes and create file folders for clients. I can save word documents under their name and refer back to them when they call in. It definitely increases productivity and increases speed, and efficiency.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

QQCatalyst helps keep everything in one place, which is probably the best part. I can quickly find customer information, policy details, documents, notes, and prior activity without having to search all over the place like it’s a government treasure hunt.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I do not like the new reporting process because it requires too many steps and takes too much time. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the previous report process, and the new process feels less efficient. The download link opens on a separate page, and when multiple reports are downloaded, the list only shows the date and time instead of identifying each report, which makes it confusing and inefficient.

I also dislike how often the system slows down or takes a long time to load, even with fast internet. The overall layout and appearance also feels very outdated. If I had been employed with my agency before Catalyst was chosen, the outdated appearance alone would have made me hesitant to choose it. For what agencies pay for this software, I believe it should be more modern, reliable, efficient, and user-friendly.

Overall, the entire system needs to be updated to better compete with other software options. Honestly, if I were Vertafore, I would consider combining the best features of QQCatalyst and AMS360 into one stronger CRM platform while keeping the price within an affordable median range. I believe that would make the system more appealing and could attract many more customers.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this time, I cannot say that I have noticed QQCatalyst solving many new problems in a meaningful way. The system does help keep client information, policy details, documents, notes, and activity history in one place, which is beneficial for daily agency operations. However, many of the recent updates feel more like basic improvements that should have already been part of the system rather than true solutions to current agency workflow problems.

For example, one recent update stated that “email setup options have been refreshed with up-to-date email providers.” While that may be useful, in 2026, having current email provider options should be a standard feature, not something that feels like a major improvement. Updates like that seem more overdue than innovative.

The areas that would benefit our agency most are faster system performance, a more modern layout, fewer steps for reporting, better organization of downloads, and a more efficient overall workflow.

Overall, QQCatalyst does provide a central place to manage customer and policy information, but I would like to see updates that solve actual day-to-day problems for agency users instead of changes that feel routine, overdue, or behind compared to other software options.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

QQ Catalyst is very easy to use and has a large variety of functions. Being able to assign tasks to other agents at my office that can be set far in the future, and the invoice/bill generator is very helpful. I like how notes are searchable, and that you can group files into folders.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

When I am working on filling out an acord, it would be nice to still have access to their QQ profile to pull up info. Having to save it over and over to use QQ, especially if I get a call in the middle of working on an Acord is cumbersome. Or if I didn't have to rename the acord every time it saves, when I'm just going to reopen it again in a minute.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is very important that our agency keep track of all our transactions. QQ being accessible to all our agents and CSR staff helps keep workflow smooth.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

QQ is very user-friendly, and everything is in one place. My favorite part is the texting feature. I also really like the ability to add logos, and the email feature is great as well. Reports are easy to run, and you can create your own.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

After using the system for several years, learning how to navigate it better, and seeing some much-needed updates, I can’t say there’s anything I dislike about it. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the policy information you have to enter. For example, with Mobile Home policies there are only a few coverage options, and for Farm and Ranch and cattle grazing I’d like to be able to set them up more like General Liability policies. That way, I could create a COI without having to re-enter the information every time or choose another line of business.

It puts everyone and everything in one spot, and that benefits everyone!

  ### 9. Easy to Use, but Needs AI and Drag-and-Drop Upgrades for Commercial Agents

QQ IS EASY TO USE, AND I CAN GO THROUGH THE SYSTEM QUICKLY.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

THERE IS QUITE A BIT TO BE HONEST. THE PLATFORM NEEDS TO BE ALIGNED WITH AI A LOT BETTER. IT'S WAY BEHIND. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DRAG AND DROP AND LET THE SYSTEM PRE-FILL. THERE ARE SIMPLE ITEMS THAT CAUSE A HUGE PAIN FOR AGENTS. YOU CANNOT INPUT A LIMIT FOR MOTOR CARGO. THE TRUCKING POLICY TAB IS USELESS. YOU CANNOT INPUT ANYTHING. WHEN YOU ADD VEHICLES AND ADD AN ACORD. YOU HAVE TO MANUALLY CLICK ON LIABILITY, UNINSURED, AND OTHER COVERAGES. OVERALL, THE SYSTEM NEEDS A MAJOR UPGRADE AND LACKS MANY SIMPLE, MUST-HAVE FEATURES FOR COMMERCIAL AGENTS.

They've added a feature called sticky notes, which has certainly helped us notate important information on client accounts. 

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

The reporting feature has decreased in ease of use. Previously, the pop-up window for creating a report would remain open even after the report downloaded to my computer, allowing me to view the report and make minor adjustments to the report criteria (such as date range or producer). Now, the pop-up window disappears, requiring me to input every custom criteria over and over. It is truly several steps back in my opinion. 

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A one-place information system to log both customer contact information, as well as internal note on client interactions.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I like that QQCatalyst is fairly intuitive and easy to use. Searching for customers is quick and easy. I like the you can bridge quotes to PL rater as well. The system is pretty quick and and organizes information well for ease of access.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

The biggest issue with QQCatalyst, in my experience, is the system alerts—specifically the reminders. A reminder pops up once, and if you don’t manually reset the reminder date, it won’t remind you again. That makes it easy to miss tasks, so I end up using a different system to manage open tasks because of this. It would be great if there were an option to set up recurring reminders.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

Issuing certificates of insurance during renewals is much faster now, which makes the whole renewal process feel smoother and less time-consuming.  Automated emails makes your customers feel more connected with you.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I probably am not using the system correctly but I wish my emails were all managed thru QQCatalyst.  I correctly use Microsoft 365 Outlook separate app.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email & communication with clients is much improved.  I have set up email templates that get sent out automatically to every new customer, every new quote, new policy, renewal reminders and cross sale opportunities.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I like that the support people at QQCatalyst are very friendly, which makes interacting with them pleasant. I find the ability to make tasks and sticky notes very useful and helpful because they help me stay on task and remember specific information about certain clients. Also, I'd rate the initial setup of QQCatalyst quite highly, at a 9 out of 10, indicating it was quite straightforward and easy for me. I am also quite likely to recommend QQCatalyst to others, giving it a perfect score of 10.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

The fact I can't remove the voided invoices is a bit of a nuisance.

**What problems is QQCatalyst solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use QQCatalyst for organizing files. The tasks and sticky notes are very useful in keeping me on task and remembering specific information about clients.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I use QQCatalyst for agency management and customer information, and it takes the difficulty out of work. The system is simple, navigation is easy, and if there's ever a problem, the team is super easy to get a hold of. I've worked in agencies with other management systems, and QQCatalyst is by far my favorite because they are so much more user-friendly. Texting from the agency is one of my favorites, and I like the emails we can send. I also commonly pull reports with ease. The initial setup was very easy.

I dont have any complaints.

QQCatalyst takes the difficulty out of work with simple navigation and easy communication. I enjoy the ease of texting and sending emails from the agency, and I can pull reports effortlessly.

**What do you like best about QQCatalyst?**

I find it very streamlined and user-friendly. I used it at my previous agency, and when I moved to a new one, I had them implement the system there as well.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

The only thing I don’t like about QQ is that I can’t seem to get the commissions to calculate correctly. Some carriers offer different percentages based on package deals and similar arrangements, so I’m constantly having to go back in and manually enter corrections.

It helps me keep everything neat and organized. I find it detailed and easy to follow, which makes it simple to stay on track. You really can’t beat the price, and having a support line available with this system is a big plus.

I like the reports and notifications from QQCatalyst, as they make work easier by allowing the use of features like expired policies for calls and working on renewals. Additionally, it helps me adjust renewals to know the percentage of premium opportunities. I also found that the initial setup of QQCatalyst was very easy and straightforward.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

Sometimes it doesn't let me send emails, it only lets me send text messages to clients. I would like all registered emails to be used for sending payment and renewal reminders.

All of my agents find QQCatalyst to be very user-friendly, and they feel a lot of comfort in using the system. It allows productivity to be at its max because the system is user-friendly, enabling my agents to help customers efficiently. Furthermore, the tool helps by reducing the waiting time for customer calls. One feature that the agents particularly like is the sticky notes function, which pops up to show who was working on a task and the last notes on it, contributing to a more diverse experience.

QQCatalyst doesn't provide the top-tier reports that I need, especially for accounting. It is not accounting-ready or production-ready for the volume of clients we service. The key issue is with the reports; we're unable to see our production and revenue accurately. There's a lot of duplicate data in the system, which affects accuracy. When carriers download statements, the system shows it as a new policy instead of a rewrite.

When I have multiple files open on my screen and a file gets dragged across the screen, I would like for that 'drag file to upload' to not show up when my intention is to not upload a file. Like being able to have multiple locations for customers addresses and search policies based on location.

When a policy has lapsed, you can no longer use "view drivers" or Vehicles because policy is inactive. Makes it harder to requote. My least favorite is the Tasks vs. notes. In Evolution, you would make a memo that was indelible, but then you could set out a "task" for it. Much more streamlined. With catalyst, it is more apt to error with some agents making a note, and others making a memo to follow something. It should be just one with the check box to set a reminder date.

I find QQCatalyst to be an excellent system that helps with organization and task follow-ups, minimizing potential errors and omissions. The task feature is fantastic, and the whole system itself is very, very good. I also really appreciate its ease of use. I've used other systems like Epic and AMS 360 in the past, and I actually prefer QQCatalyst over those. It's very helpful and useful for both personal and commercial lines, despite some misconceptions. Everyone in our company loves it, and other professionals in the industry find it useful too.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I think that the folder option could be updated to be more specific to the opportunity or policy rather than universal throughout the account. It's a bit of a hassle when a folder is the same across all policies, even if it's not relevant. Also, when making agency billing accounts with installments, it lacks a feature to determine that it's agency billed, automatically assuming full payment is required. I've had to create a workaround by tricking the system into treating it as financed when it's not.

I find the user interface of QQCatalyst to be ancient and somewhat difficult to navigate. The search functionality is poor, making it really difficult sometimes to search for things when you spell the name and capitalize the letter, not capitalize the letter. It seems to be poor oversight in development. The initial setup was not easy. It involved an employee at Vertifor who was great, but there were limited controls to ensure proper setup of interactions and connections with Gmail and Agency Zoom.

I've found QQCatalyst to be very user friendly and it has helped speed up our quoting process with the integration of PL rater into our system. QQCatalyst has been very helpful throughout the integration process, especially with downloads. Whenever I get stuck, I can call and get issues resolved as they can remote into my computer if needed. I like that QQCatalyst keeps all customer information in one place. I was also able to link my DocuSign to it.

I probably view my productivity the most or use the Texting feature. I haven't encountered anything that doesn't work well so far. I like QQCatalyst so much that I'd rate it an 8 out of 10.

It is a one stop shop for our needs to assist our customers. Payments, communications (texting, emails, etc.), policy documents, customer information. Everything is in ONE spot. It's easy to use daily and the features are endless. Integration is simple.

The only thing that I dislike about QQCatalyst is that they just recently did an update that makes you download reports instead of them just popping up like they used to do. It added in a few unnecessary steps to closing out for the day.

I generally like all the functions it has, it's a very large and extensive system, honestly all the functions are spectacular.

**What do you dislike about QQCatalyst?**

I don't like the new way reports are run. Previously, I could run several reports at once, and now I have to do one at a time. I would also like more functions in the commission percentage options depending on the line of business and the coverages in personal auto companies, as the policies are paid at different percentages. For example, if the policy is:
- No proof of prior auto insurance - ??%
- Personal Auto Customer has proof of prior insurance, no lapse in coverage, and earns the Continuous Insurance Discount - ??%
- Safe driver + Homeowner Customer has proof of prior insurance, no lapse in coverage, and earns Continuous Insurance, Homeowner, and 3-Year Safe Driver discounts - ??%
I think this would help make reconciliation more effective.

The best thing I like from QQCatalyst is the new features that you can download the policies and automatically some get the information added automatically and it makes my job a lot more easier.

What I dislike is that sometimes when I'm going to add a client or something it sometimes get stuck or gets frozen and like a pink box pops up and I have to refresh my page to start again.

For one the COI's where I use to work I would have to type them all one by one and her at this new job they found out that you can just add the certificate holder and write what the description of operation box needs to say and you just click on it and it writes it for you already.

It's convenient because I can do everything on one platform instead of managing different windows. I also appreciate that I can pin important notes to show on the profile face, and overall, this makes it easy for me to keep track. The initial setup was easy as well.

Maybe when we bridge from the system to a new platform, some info doesn't fully bridge.

I don't like the change that no longer lets you click from the expiring policy page right into the specific policy you need to update. It used to allow that. Now you have to go back to contacts and search for the name or policy number. Clicking on the policy and going right there was so much nicer.
