Files cannot be seen or accessed by the Proton team, which ensures a deeper level of privacy compared to other “storage” products. Access to files (with permissions) can be monitored and revoked easily.

The ability to collaborate through their cloud service is an invaluable tool for users who need to work on the same files from different locations. While it remains strictly privacy-focused, Proton Drive for Business is ISO27001 certified and SOC 2 Type 2, which helps it stay compliant with global standards for information security. Initially, the file upload process was slow and often took more than one attempt to upload files.
