I like how organized Prophix Software is. Once we were set up, I could easily tweak existing templates and reports to meet new needs. I like that it works a lot like Excel and Access, so it’s easy to use and navigate, even for people who aren’t inclined to learn new systems. The DPM for our funded roster has been a big win: I can manage and share the information easily, and people recognize the data as accurate and consistent. I also like the workflows for getting information to people who don’t have active Prophix licenses, and the consistent reporting budget managers receive each month. Prophix has streamlined our budgeting, projections, and reporting, and saves time, energy, and resources compared with our Excel- and Google Sheets-based processes. Our implementation wasn’t easy and is still causing issues. The in-house Prophix implementation team didn’t seem to understand our needs or care to adjust their process to them. A secondary revenue cube was set up poorly and is almost impossible to rebuild because it’s used so often. If things aren’t set up correctly from the beginning, it can be hard to overcome later.
