Using a DataSource with CRUD enables a rich user interface with strong built-in capabilities. For example, with a grid you get all the essential features (create, update, delete), and then with only a few modifications you can add extra options such as Excel or PDF export, pagination, filtering, and more, without additional development costs. It helps me deliver multiple features in a short period of time. If I had to build the user interface manually, it would take much longer. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** The main downside is the error messages and logs. Sometimes, when we implement a feature, an error appears, but the message itself isn’t clear and doesn’t explain what it really means. It also doesn’t point to our own file; instead, it references a file inside the library with thousands of lines. Without more detailed information, it’s very hard to trace the exact issue. **What problems is Progress Kendo UI solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helped us implement a rich user interface in our internal application with less effort and in less time. ### 2. It is very rare that we would need to customize a lot of these building blocks as generally, they would already offer something out of the box that would provide the functionality needed. I would also add that developers on the team find that the code examples are concise yet well written. Their documentation also provides a lot of ways in case there is a need to extend a specific functionality. Overall, their tool set allows us to build features for our applications that provides elegance and consistency in terms of visual aspect and functionality. Being able to select the right component allows for our team to implement features quickly and integrate with other current libraries we have in our applications. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** As with any software based service, there could be times where Kendo is unable to provide examples that will handle some edge cases. Progress also would need to ramp up support particularly in addressing security vulnerabilities that recently have become quite rampant especially in OSS / front end packages. **What problems is Progress Kendo UI solving and how is that benefiting you?** We utilize a lot of their components, but the biggest aspect of our usage relates to data tables, rendering of reports (PDF) and utilization of their charting services. ### 5. They are extremely easy to integrate, offer impressive customization options, and come packed with a wide range of features, whether you need UI controls, a data grid, or more. **What do you dislike about Progress Kendo UI?** Kendo libraries are not particularly lightweight, and any efforts to reduce their size would be greatly appreciated. Additionally, the current selection of charts is missing some advanced options, such as Tree Map and Correlation Map, which would be valuable additions. It would be great to see support for these types of charts, similar to what D3.js offers. **What problems is Progress Kendo UI solving and how is that benefiting you?** Kendo has made it much easier for me to design reporting applications, thanks to its extensive features and functionalities.
