The biggest advantage is that it offers a no-code, governed way to connect Power BI to large S/4HANA datasets. Incremental data loading helps keep reports current without having to reprocess the entire dataset each time, and the integration is built to stay stable even when SAP structures change or the system is upgraded. The initial setup takes some upfront preparation. Because the connector is deployed through SAP BTP, the organization needs a suitable BTP environment in place, along with support from the SAP administration team during implementation. Once that foundation is set, the BI team can operate much more independently. Since the product is still relatively new, there is also less publicly available documentation and less community content compared with more established SAP integration tools.
