I use Poll Everywhere to put up questions that get my students thinking a little deeper, and it’s been super helpful for getting class started and engaging them. I like that it’s easy to use across multiple classes: I can duplicate a question, keep responses within that class, and share answers from other classes to show what meets my expectations and help students formulate better responses. It’s easy to access and navigate, and it’s easy to set up and duplicate for different classes and grade levels. The QR code gives students a visual cue to scan and answer without opening another app or going to a link, and I can also add a link to Google Classroom for a follow-up question, reflection, or exit ticket. I’ve used the poll, Q&A, competition, and multiple choice features, and I find Poll Everywhere helpful in a lot of ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’m not quite sure if there’s a timer, but I think one for questions would be helpful. Sometimes the bars go back and forth when kids press different answers to see the poll dance around. I think they should only be able to click once, or there should at least be an option to stop them from changing their answer. A little intro or explanation would have been helpful when I started, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
