There's no much I dislike about Pleo - we've had a couple issues with the export to Netsuite because of App updates

Easy way to users to hand in receipts
Reliability & acceptance of the cards

Backoffice processes are not sufficient enough and lack basic needed functionalities
Functionalities & Services are not provided throughout all countries
Customer Support Service from basic to Success Manager are not sufficient and basically provide work arounds instead of solutions.
Errors in Review Processes and at least transparency issues make it difficult on a multi entity setup

PLEO is providing our world-wide active Aircraft Crews and Employees reliable Credit Cards and streamlines the process of handing in receipts in a proper quality and time

I really like how easy the onboarding is and how the app works. Easy to submit a receipt to Pleo too by email. 
Setting it up and integrating with Xero is also quick and fast.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

It would be good if it remembered some vendors to avoid having to approve with the app every time. Maybe I just did not find that feature?

Its simple in its functionality and implementation/integration. They keep improving the functionalities.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

The AI functionality isn't top-notch. Still need to process/adjust a lot of transactions manually, even whilst there are a lot of transactions the same as in the past. The system doesn't learn from past transactions.

It was only helping with expenses by employees and certain teams. But it is now also helping with invoices, which saves a lot of time.

**What do you like best about Pleo?**

Very easy to use, has great integrations with accounting systems and our HRIS, which make onboarding and daily workflows easy. The "Fetch" feature of pulling receipts from inboxes saves a lot of time!

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

I have found there are occasional periods of the app being slow especially when there is a large volume of transactions to be processed. There are also no "Hard limits" meaning employees can exceed their budgets and then have their cards shut off vs a transaction failing for exceeding the budget.

Making it easier for employees to spend whilst out and about as well as making the receipt capture as easy as possible.

**What do you like best about Pleo?**

It's easy to use and very intuitive. Especially it's automated function regarding invoice processing is useful for everyday use, shortening the amount of time spent on invoice processing and thus freeing up time for other obligations.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

Unfortunately, Pleo only exports invoices to DATEV or as an excel sheet after they've been paid. That makes sense from the perspective of Pleo as a payment tool, but as a finance manager in communication with, for example, an external accountant or tax advisor, it means added communicative workload to make sure that the invoices are connected with the correct time frames.

Pleo has a great customer support, ranging from fraud-support to regular customer success. 
The user interface, rules, approvals and spend-management are top. It’s very simple to optimise workflows and reoccurring tasks within Pleo which further enhances the tool.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

I don’t dislike anything about Pleo. There could be minor enhancements in server stability during the months end, but super small point.

**What problems is Pleo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pleo helps us monitor and enable employees with personal limits on cards, process all reimbursements, pay reoccurring charges and anything from expenses to spend management. 
It reduces time immensely and makes governance incredibly easy. Also great for process automation.

Not the cheapest and the milage feature is not the slickest, but work arounds exist.

Lately, we've been getting a significant number of scam emails that are pretending to be from Pleo.

Anyone can make minor purchases quickly, without needing approval or waiting for someone else to handle the transaction. This is particularly helpful when the item is inexpensive but still essential.

Being able to set it up as detailed and granular as possible with different team members, as well as different teams. We've set it up so that everything is connected to our systems and integrates seamlessly. Our team uses it every day and has made our spending management significantly easier and less complex. It's an easy tool all around.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

Customer Support is not the best. We've had a few issues already and getting the responses or support simply is not there. Needs to improve massively.

I do believe that the more you scale, the less efficient Pleo becomes. The integrations are not the best and the easiness mainly comes in the form of actual spend, but not on the backend.

**What problems is Pleo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solved the expense side of things for our end-users, but backend / backoffice tasks are not the easiest.

I love the simplicity of Pleo, it's user friendly, quick to respond and easy to creat cards, top up limits, freeze cars and be reactive. 

Seamlessly integrating it into the business was great and for the amount of transactions in the business we have this saves time on reviewing and approving transactions from out of pocket expenses.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

The cost jumped up our second year significantly,
Also our support changed to someone non-UK based and the service dropped once that happened.

It solves us not making employee do out of pocket expenses and it makes it so much easier to chase for receipts

**What do you like best about Pleo?**

Incredibly user-friendly app on both the front and back end - being easy to use is definitely where Pleo shines. 
Zero problems getting the app integrated into our company's processes and getting people on board.
Functionality is almost perfect and wouldn't change much.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

Not being able to customise certain things - my main issue with the app is not being able to make the note/descriprion of an expense mandatory - I really don't understand why this isn't an option and why we're allowing people to leave this blank. 
Frustrating onboarding process - taking months to verify us as a company.
Support all goes through an email and will take at least a day to get back to you - not good if there's an urgent need for assistance. Support/contact with salespeople also non-existent as soon as you sign the contract.

Modernising the expense process for our business - easy to use app for an expense-heavy business
Receipt collection - bringing online and reducing admin

Sometimes the team is prioritizing new features over building existing features e2e.

We have automated our entire accounts payable side with Pleo; from reimbursing employees, managing expenses via vendor cards to paying incoming invoices. Additionally, the regular vendors tab is great for monitoring and managing existing subscriptions.

That we dont have to have a normal bank card and that the reciepts are attached by the user right away.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

That it is not posible to set up what the user has to do and what to administrator should do. Today the user try to post the expence and then I have to change it afterwards. I only want them to set a project and an tekst. It should on the other hand not be posible to have an expense without an tekst.

It has really helped me keep my expenses in order and make sure I have the receipts connected to them. I think the person who’s happiest about my switch is my accountant. Now it’s almost like a game to avoid having any expenses missing information in the app.

The safari app is sometimes tricky to log into. I always need to verify both through pin, text and email every time I log in even if I press "trust this device"

In the future  I hope Plea will expand the service to new areas such as salary and invoices.

The pricing model is a bit unattractive for very small companies.

**What do you like best about Pleo?**

It manages to scrape 90% of our invoices from email/card.
Great that all team members can just expense their stuff automatically.
Super intuitive to use and train staff one.
It's intergration with Xero is near perfect. 
I use it every day and so do the team. 
It's a great way of demonstrating trust in your team without having lots of admin

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

Still missing the last 10% of receipts. 
A bit pricey

I no longer have to manually add ever invoice to Xero or do everyone's expenses at the end of the month

Ease of use in terms of doing travel expenses, buy a service or product, scan the receipt with your phone and job done. No more days of voting, scanning receipts, uploading information etc. Also great when sending/transferring attachments (receipts) into the Pleo phone app. The whole look and feel is very user friendly. In case of any issues the support team are available with swift solutions

I need phone support. If nothing else, then for a limited time or days. But sometimes it's difficult in writing. Need integration with D365 Finance.

**What do you like best about Pleo?**

We use Pleo every day. You have total control over employee spending. You can also reimburse employees' personal expenses. In addition, it is possible to create credit cards for certain expenses so that the credit limit of the personal card is not reduced. It's also easy to create new users and assign them credit cards with the appropriate credit limit. It is also possible for employees to claim mileage allowances.
The interface to Datev is also great. You can find the exported bookings directly in the accounting program.
I think it's a really well thought-out tool.
If you have any questions, the support team is friendly and helpful.

There are some problems with the report. The cash balance of Pleo does not match our accounting system.

Super useful to be able to see all transactions immediately. 
Useful function to request further details. 
From the admin side, great to see expense reports, how much each individual is spending.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

In Europe, the receipt upload can be slow. 
Not able to upload receipt only when doing out of pocket expenses and add tags later. Need to add all the tags/notes etc which takes a long time.

No missing payments. Team know exactly how much they have spent and are reminded to upload receipts quickly when the payment goes through.

From a user side is very Easy to use, much more convenient than keeping expenses manually and then doing a expense report

As CFO the tool is extremely useful as it's integrated with the bookkeeping team. We have all the invoices in only one place, and reconciled

For the team that's traveling a lot it's worth the price, but for the team that travels only 1-4 per year it's too expensive. So they don't have a pleo account. Paying per use can be very expensive.

It makes managing expenses super easy. I love snapping a photo of receipts, seeing everything sync automatically, and giving team members cards without the headache of reimbursements.

Sometimes transactions take a bit to sync, and reporting could be more flexible. Virtual cards aren’t always accepted everywhere, and international fees can add up.

Pleo takes away the hassle of chasing receipts and processing reimbursements. It keeps all expenses in one place, updates in real time, and integrates with our accounting software. This saves us time, reduces errors, and makes tracking company spending way easier.

Works well and relatively intuitive. Creating budgets for team to track their own spending is a feature I like in addition to of course the whole invoice payment process, which works smoothly. I can't comment on Pleo integration yet, but this is an extremely important aspect for us for the future to ensure automation / integration with other systems.

**What do you dislike about Pleo?**

It's not easy to see the Pleo end of month balances, which I use for our manual cash flow management process.  Would be great to see that more easily. Looking forward to having a liquidity management tool integrated into Pleo.

**What problems is Pleo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for incoming invoices, for tracking expenses and for providing credit cards to our employees. It solves the problem of overall financial management for our startup.

- No unique invoice inbox email address for each user -- so that someone else can help submit an invoice on behalf of a user

Pleo takes out the often drawn out expenses processes where you have to reimburse employees based off a spreadsheet. Pleo eradicates this issue giving employees a company card where they can upload receipts in seconds. As administrators we can monitor employees expenses and also restrict funds where necessary.

Pleo is very user-friendly and requires very little from employees managing expenses. The interface is minimalistic and still gives all the information you need as a user. Implementation is also very easy, and support is easy to reach if ever needed.

I sometimes wonder about platform security, as you log in with just a password.

Pleo automatically log all purchases, and often fetches the receipt in the email inbox. The process for booking costs to various accounts is super simple, as is the approvals process.

The fact that it is very intuive to use. I also like the fact that you can give a lot of trust to your teams to pay with the card or reimburse themselves for costs paid with their own cards. Therefore there is minimal operating time spent on these processes.

Sometimes retailers don't accept creditcard payments as the costs for them are too high.

Admin hassle of reimbursing employees for expenses made. Ability to provide employees with a company creditcard. Ability to manage subscriptions.
