What do you like best about Pendo?

I like having product analytics, session replay, and in-app guides in one platform. As a product and growth PM, I use Pendo to understand product usage and investigate retention across different customer groups. Account-level segmentation is particularly useful because we can connect behavior with lifecycle information, such as trial and paid status, instead of looking only at aggregate activity. What do you dislike about Pendo?

Permission management can be more complicated than expected. Creating and publishing guides, editing shared segments, and accessing session replay are controlled by separate permissions, so a teammate may need several adjustments before they can complete a workflow. Clearer explanations of which permission is missing, and simpler role presets for common jobs, would reduce the back-and-forth for administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pendo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Pendo helps us understand how customer behavior differs across the trial and paid lifecycle, rather than relying only on aggregate business metrics. I have used account-level cohorts to compare early retention between customers who eventually converted to paid and those who did not. This helps us identify questions for further investigation and decide where to focus onboarding and engagement work. Session replay also gives our product and engineering teams a way to inspect the experience when a customer reports a problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
