What I like most is that I stopped having to chase people for answers. I'm not from finance and I'm still fairly new to this, but the dashboard is simple enough that I can find a single payment by the customer's email or transaction ID and see right away whether it went through, failed or is waiting. Before I would message someone and wait until the next day. Now it takes me maybe a minute.
The second thing is the number of payment methods we can offer in one place – cards, wallets, and local options for markets where people don't really pay by card. We didn't have to plug in a separate provider for every country, which was my main worry at the start.
One thing I didn't expect: refunds are just a couple of clicks, so I can handle a customer complaint myself instead of passing it to another team. That alone saves me a lot of back and forth every week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The reporting is the part I struggle with most. Pulling a report for a specific date range and payment method takes me more clicks than it should, and I still export to Excel to get the view I actually want. For someone who isn't from finance, the naming of some of the report fields isn't obvious – I had to ask a colleague what a couple of them meant and there was no tooltip to help me.
Pricing is the other thing. The fees depend on the card type and the country, so it's hard for me to tell upfront what a specific transaction will cost. I usually only find out when the statement comes. I'd love a simple calculator in the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
