What I like most about PayPal Payments is how trusted it is and how easy it is for just about anyone to use. Since customers around the world recognize the PayPal brand, they tend to feel safe when checking out, which can help cut down on abandoned shopping carts. Setup on a website only takes a few minutes, and it helps keep financial details private and secure. I also appreciate how quickly I can send transfers to vendors or split bills—often instantly—using only an email address. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest downside to PayPal, in my experience, is the high transaction fees and the risk of sudden account freezes. The percentage they take from each sale adds up fast, and it’s even more noticeable with international transactions where conversion rates also come into play. On top of that, customer service can be very difficult to reach when a dispute comes up. Their automated system also sometimes holds or freezes funds without much warning, which can seriously disrupt a small business’s cash flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
