**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I love how Paylocity streamlines recruitment and onboarding processes, making it easier to find promising candidates and integrate new hires seamlessly. The software's ability to facilitate effective communication with prospective candidates is a standout feature for me. I particularly appreciate the messaging tab in the recruitment section, which allows me to send direct emails to candidates and ensures that everyone involved in the hiring process is kept informed, reducing the need for additional communication. This feature aligns everyone on the status of applications automatically. Paylocity also excels in supporting veteran employees through HR & Payroll tools, enabling me to assist them with any inquiries they may have. The initial setup, while extensive due to data import, was made seamless by the capable team. Overall, Paylocity's utility for admins, teams, and employees, along with its communication and support features, makes it a valuable tool that I highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I find the biggest challenge within Paylocity's service is their support ticketing system. They tend to close out tickets without actually resolving the issues, which means the problems still persist for us. The rate at which support tickets receive responses and are resolved could definitely be improved. I believe adding more support team members could help manage the volume of tickets better and ensure issues are genuinely fixed. Additionally, confirming with clients that their issues have been resolved before closing tickets would greatly enhance the support process.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize Paylocity to streamline recruitment and onboarding, effectively finding promising candidates and bringing new hires onboard seamlessly. The messaging feature enhances communication with candidates and supports employee engagement, allowing everyone to stay updated on candidate status.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I really appreciate Paylocity for its attention to detail and its ability to provide almost everything I need in a quick, one-stop shop fashion, which significantly helps my organization thrive. The payroll feature is particularly noteworthy for me due to its intuitiveness and streamlined process, making it remarkably foolproof. Additionally, the holistic and encompassing nature of Paylocity's offerings surpasses that of iSolved, which is another reason why I find it valuable. The initial setup of Paylocity was extremely easy, reinforcing my positive experience with the software. Overall, these aspects make Paylocity a highly reliable and efficient tool for managing various HR functions in my organization.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I wish Paylocity had better functionality with onboarding. Specifically, it would be helpful to involve more departments and hiring managers in the process to keep everyone on track. Additionally, the ability to set up provisioning steps, where specific steps once triggered would notify a particular department or stakeholder to advance the onboarding process, would enhance its efficiency. For instance, having an email automatically sent to IT to prepare a new employee's equipment would be beneficial.

I use Paylocity for payroll, finding it intuitive and streamlined, which prevents errors. It serves as a comprehensive, one-stop shop for HR and employee management needs, helping my organization thrive.

It is easily customizable for individual business needs, without needing to lean on development or experts.  The pricing is competitive, compared to competitors that offer less.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

The system has trouble supporting inter-company operations between several EINs.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to get rid of several outside contacts, such as our ATS and LMS.  It's all bundled into a single login platform.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I like that the customer service at Paylocity is great. It’s user-friendly and supports where needed. Every time I call for help, they are always able to assist me no matter who I’m talking with. Their onboarding process also makes my job easier to do.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

Reactivating an employee is a rather frustrating process. It would be easier if all of the boxes and information that need to be updated were all in the same place. Right now, it’s a guessing game as to why an employee is not able to access their profile.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Paylocity for streamlining the payroll and onboarding processes, eliminating paperwork. The customer service is great, and the user-friendly onboarding makes my job easier.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I love the fact that I can process all my payroll (W-2 & 1099s) in one location. We also utilize Paylocity's Time Management software that feeds nicely into scheduling and payroll processing.  We recently began adding more modules like Employee Voice and Learning Management System. I am excited that my employees can find all this inforamtion through one simple log in, either mobile or online.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

As an administrator, it's hard for me to see what employees see.  I wish there was a way to switch from administrator to "employee view" so I can better assist employees when they need help navigating.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity help solve our clock in and clock out process.  The software is extremely user friendly for even those technically challenged employees.  We also saw an increase in employee sastification when it came to accessing their information.  24/7 they have access to their paycheck and tax information, without having to rely on HR staff.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

We have been using Paylocity for 3 years now previously we were at a "big name corporate company" that was just failing us left and right from the start of implementation. Paylocity has been able to grow with us, not only in the size of our company but in the products, we utilize! We also have a wish list and a timeline we've developed with our rep on the future Add's. (LMS, Recognition, Performance management) it is very user friendly for our non-tech savvy employees as well! we love the product and our teams! The integration was the best from start to end, from collecting previous history from our previous company to helping answer questions and shadow our first payroll as well 10/10. As our HR manager we utilize Paylocity for everything we can and have integrated it to our everyday use. our service team is top Noch as well. we send emails when possible and get quick arcuate answers as well as utilizing the AI features.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

we haven't haven't found much that we dislike, if i had to say something just how when making updates things sometimes need to be made in multiple places like the employee history as well as on the timekeeping configuration. otherwise, that's about it. reporting is sometimes stressful in the trial and error on what information you'll get as well.

we did everything manually previously it has been the best to be able to automate so many features internally!

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

We have been with Paylocity for over six years and have seen the platform evolve and expand significantly during that time. One of the biggest strengths of Paylocity is how comprehensive it has become—offering a wide range of modules that integrate seamlessly, which has streamlined many aspects of our operations.

We currently utilize HR and Payroll, Performance, Time and Labor, Learning, and Onboarding, and each has brought real value to our organization. Payroll and Time and Labor are intuitive and reliable, saving our team time and reducing errors. The HR and Performance modules have made tracking employee information and managing reviews much more efficient. The Learning and Onboarding tools have also been extremely beneficial, especially in creating a smooth process for new hires and providing ongoing training opportunities for our staff.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

A couple of downsides we’ve experienced are that more complex technical issues and tax-related support requests can take longer to resolve, and at times, the guidance you receive can vary depending on the representative you speak with. While these situations can be frustrating, overall support has still been helpful and responsive.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paylocity has helped us solve a number of challenges by bringing multiple HR functions into one integrated platform. Instead of using separate systems for payroll, time tracking, onboarding, performance management, and learning, everything is housed in one place. This has reduced duplication of work, minimized errors, and improved efficiency across our HR processes.

For example, payroll and time tracking integrate seamlessly, saving time and ensuring accuracy. Onboarding and learning tools have streamlined the new hire experience and provided easy access to ongoing training for employees. The performance module has also given us a structured and consistent way to manage reviews and employee development.

Overall, Paylocity has helped us work more efficiently, stay organized, and provide a better experience for both employees and managers.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

Once you understand the Paylocity system it is easy to use and more manageable and user friendly than other payroll providers.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

We had a rocky start up with some Paylocity staff turnover right around the time when we were about to due our implementation. Due to this, it took a bit longer to understand how the system worked and it was a difficult transition ensuring everything had been set up correctly. However, after a rocky start, once the system was downloaded successfully, things have been running smoothly without any major hiccupps.  We have now been with Paylocity for over 2 years and are satisfied customers.

**What problems is Paylocity solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We would love to be able to take advantage of the expense feature. However, our school currently has 3 major departments for our school programs (teaching, active program, & residential program). each of these programs requires different supervisors signing off on expenses. Therefore, a teacher may have a reimbursement from more than 1 supervisor. it would be ideal if Paylocity figured out how we could have the expense program be tied to several supervisor roles (not just the employee's primary supervisor)

I really appreciate Paylocity for helping us go paperless and keeping employee documents and information safe. The new onboarding feature we're using is great. Also, setting up Paylocity was very easy after switching from ADP.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I don't like that Paylocity requires payroll submission either sooner or later than nine days before the payroll date. It's unclear why this is necessary, and sometimes I need to process payroll sooner rather than later.

Paylocity helps us go paperless and keeps employee documents and information safe with its new onboarding feature.

I like the reporting feature in Paylocity. I just enjoy how I can create the reports. The reporting allows us to be able to figure out how many workers we will need for the next pay period.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

The time is not accurately uploaded and does not reflect correctly. The accrual balances do not update correctly. The initial setup was pretty clear, but the trainings are not the best.

I use Paylocity for creating reports to determine how many workers we need for the next pay period.

Using "Recruiting" to rehire someone and have their information flow through Onboarding and back into HR & Payroll.  Right now, the Recruiting Profile does not connect with an existing profile.

It keeps the process the same for all new employees, no matter where they are located.

I like that Payroll has been made easy to navigate, easy to run. The previous version was a beast but since the upgrade I no longer have panic attacks.

Trying to beat the banks Chicago time in order to get next day pay.

Previously I couldn't train on Paylocity unless I was actually in using it...and it was sooo hard to understand. I dreaded running Payroll. Then they upgraded their systems and now its down to just a few buttons. No more panic, no more confusion! I can enter staff's paychecks and add reimbursements, correct program codes, payout PTO and Sick time as needed. Really ...please don't change it or I may have to quit my job!

Wire Team Reliability – Repeated delays in processing wires, often last-minute, creating operational and financial risk.

Transactional Errors – Frequent mistakes in wire transfers requiring immediate intervention by our team to prevent payroll delays.

Poor Communication and Escalation – Updates are reactive rather than proactive, and escalation paths are limited or unresponsive, leaving issues unresolved.

Paylocity’s platform automates payroll calculations, manages employee records, tracks deductions, and generates reports. This functionality helps streamline payroll operations, reduces manual calculation errors, and provides our organization with a centralized system for managing employee compensation efficiently. Despite issues with the wire team, the platform’s core payroll features are useful and provide operational benefits.

Website is fairly easy to use, but calling in for issues can be challenging.  Our own customer service rep is seldom available. (I've never spoken with them on ANY call-in)

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

Change the format of your screen so that all our employees show up on one webpage when entering payroll. The solution that has been offered to me is to change your resolution, but when I do that the type is almost too small to read. I am suggesting to reduce your WHITE SPACE.

I like how easy Paylocity can be to use. It's a one-stop shop for us, allowing employees to do almost everything they need, including safety training, time clock, payroll, and benefits.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

I do not love the new home page. I feel like it took away easy features and navigation for employees. I wish the time clock was still available on the home screen. I also wish that the employees would be able to view the PTO submitted into the future. I also wish that the calendar was still viewable on the home page.

I use Paylocity to handle all HR functions, which reduces manual work. It's a one-stop shop for employees to manage everything from safety training to payroll and benefits. It's easy to use, making it convenient for us.

**What do you like best about Paylocity?**

I find Paylocity to be very user-friendly and intuitive, which makes navigating its different functionalities quite straightforward. There are a lot of options available on the platform that we utilize extensively, such as loading benefit documents, processing payroll, conducting performance reviews, adding documents for employees, handling onboarding processes, and posting jobs. These features streamline various HR and administrative tasks for my team effectively. Additionally, we had a great initial setup experience with Paylocity, assisted by an excellent integration specialist, which facilitated a smooth transition. Even when we needed further assistance later on, our account manager was very proactive, setting up weekly calls to address any questions we had, which supported our continued positive experience.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

Sometimes I come across features that I would like Paylocity to have, but the system doesn't currently support them. It isn't very intuitive, especially when it comes to creating schedules and managing various tasks simultaneously. I also find it lacking in functionality for 'if and then' type scenarios, which would greatly enhance its utility.

I use Paylocity for payroll, performance reviews, and employee announcements. It streamlines our HR processes, including onboarding and job postings, while being user-friendly and offering many options.

My support team has been incredible! The transition into Paylocity has been smooth, the implementation team has been supportive and quick to respond, and the system is easy to use.

The AI tool doesn't operate the way I expect. It searches for information on the web rather than on the platform itself.

Paylocity has a number of reports that are wonderful to use. The dynamic reporting makes it easy to view without needing to download 132242 reports.

How much it covers in the hris space that keeps my employees in one space.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

The lack of it being able to connect with external calendars, and not being able to modify things easily. It often feels like I have to find the right set of buttons when it should be easier.

Currently there is no solution to my problem.

I really appreciate that we have our own account rep to reach out to whenever we’re having trouble or can’t quite figure something out.

I wish there were better reporting options, and that the history could be included as well.

They’re working on more dynamic reporting, and I’m hopeful it will reduce some of the manual work in my role.

Sometimes the responses to questions seem to be automated or at least canned responses so it can take a while to get issues resolved.

I do not like the new home page. It is not user friendly

Keeping the recruiting candidates information and employee records overall. It's much more organized having it in Paylocity

I like that Paylocity is internet-based, making it accessible from anywhere. It's helpful to be able to access it while I travel, as well as from home, with the same functionality. The pricing is more competitive than other products, like ADP, and the benefits functionality is better as well.

**What do you dislike about Paylocity?**

The reporting can be a bit complicated and clunky. Some reports do not allow for any and/or all fields to be included. Some time card reports are overcomplicated with page breaks and merged cells making analysis difficult.

Paylocity makes HR tasks easier by offering a comprehensive one-stop platform and is accessible anywhere due to being internet-based, allowing me to work seamlessly while traveling or from home.

I like that everything is in one place with Paylocity. The way recruiting integrates directly with onboarding is great, making the whole process from recruitment to hiring seamless, paperless, and electronic.

I have issues with making changes in one of the modules not going over into the other modules. For example, if I enter something in the HR payroll system, it doesn't automatically update that information in the time and labor system. Sometimes those two things don't speak to each other, causing trouble with payroll or how a person's time is calculated.

Paylocity helps with payroll, recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews. It streamlines learning benefits and supports our HSA, making HR tasks more efficient.

The systems such as time and labor and HR and payroll are very obviously two separate systems and can be very annoying when it comes to review on accruals for time off. It seems like they are not always speaking to one another.

Most of the time support team has been able to easily resolve things. I appreciate that they are willing to get on a training call if requested.

I really appreciate the recruiting module because it allows us to handle recruiting without needing a different system. The convenience and ease of navigating through Paylocity are a big plus.

The system is very glitchy. Sometimes we get errors and get kicked out, having to log back in and start all over. That's very annoying and inconvenient.

When new modules are created, like with the benefit side of Paylocity, there should be a negotiable fee to migrate. It would be nice to allow users to try the Paylocity benefits module first to see if they really like it, but I do understand that it's a business.

I use Paylocity for benefits, progressive development and performance evaluations. It allows me to manipulate the data at deeper levels, letting me find detailed information independently and use the tool better without needing customer service.

With updates over the past year processes have added steps and have become more cumbersome instead of more streamlined. I've stopped using certain features within Paylocity due to this. The customer service team does not seem to be as knowledgeable as customer service employees in the past; when reaching out to customer service sometimes they have to ask someone else for guidance. The majority of my employees do not utilize the app due to the frequency of being required to change their password.

We haven't had any benefits with recent Paylocity updates.

Nothing. We spend an inordinate amount of time babysitting the platform. For company of 330 it takes 3.5 people just run this application.

Everything. Support gives conflicting information. So many special areas and none speak to the other. The platform is not at all intuitive for EE nor Administrators. Does not understand the concept of non-cash taxable benefit. 2 days, 2 calls over 2 hours each and still not right.

None. Just makes more problems. Still using paper because onboarding doesn’t work.
