Paubox makes it seamless for me to communicate with my patients via email in a way that complies with the HIPAA Security Rule. Patients in my practice expect to be able to reach me through some kind of electronic messaging platform, and that’s simply the reality of practicing medicine these days. Personally, I much prefer being able to email someone directly rather than having to go through a portal system. Honestly, nothing comes to mind. I have some technical background, so getting set up was fairly straightforward for me. Every now and then, an email that isn’t spam or a phishing attempt gets routed to the inbound quarantine, and I have to go in and release it from there.
