## ParentSquare Reviews
 ### 1. Experience the Difference: Innovation, Connection, Convenience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** S P. | Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

Forget everything you thought you knew about customer service! This team is relentlessly responsive, and continuously upping their game and adding in features.

Thanks to ParentSquare, our district has officially gone next-level. With one communication platform, our messaging isn't just faster and clearer, it's more consistent and impactful. Deliberate and timely.

The built-in translations are a game-changer. Parents can command their children's school universe from their phone - whether it's diving into information, settling up payments, or reaching out to staff - no matter which school or grade their kids are in.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

The app is so easy to use that without careful planning and training, can lead to parents feeling overwhelmed from too much communication.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Built-in translations allow us to reach out to parents and cross any language barriers.
- Parents and staff are able to contact others using the Direct Message tool without us giving anyone access to private contact information.
- We can capture parent requests, collect input, etc, using forms and the response report automatically contains student IDs so we don't need to worry about matching orders/feedback to families.
- Sending reminders to parents who have not responded is just two (2) clicks!
- With AutoNotices, we can write personalized letters so parens know exactly which student we're addressing.
- Delivery reports allow us to go back to a message and verify if a parent received a message or not. And if they did not, we can root out the 'why'.
- With Pay, parents can respond to give us permissions and pay for a field trip or other activity, all within a few taps on their phone.

 ### 2. ParentSquare Breaks Language Barriers Effortlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tracey L. | Clerical Assistant, Education Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

I love using ParentSquare because it allows us to customize language depending on our audience, breaking down the language barrier and making parents feel seen and appreciated. It enables us to reach parents in their home language through various formats and languages. We can send flyers and announcements, and choose the type of notifications, whether immediate or end of day summary. We sync it to PowerSchool daily, so any changes, like student/parent contact information, are updated overnight. This is especially valuable as new students are automatically added to teacher class groups, allowing direct communication to new parents. ParentSquare has become our go-to for communications, and it's the best tool we've found for reaching parents effectively.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

Adding flyers or announcements that aren't in a jpeg format doesn't work as well for us. As long as it's a jpg or jpeg it's good to go. If this could be improved it would be most helpful.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare helps us communicate with parents in multiple formats and languages, breaking down language barriers. The PowerSchool sync ensures student/parent data is updated nightly, enabling effective communication and engagement.

 ### 3. One-Stop Solution for School Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haylee L. | Tech Integration Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

I like that ParentSquare makes it easy to assist teachers and district leaders with posts and direct messages to parents. The read receipts and delivery reports give us assurance that pertinent information reaches every student’s home. It's convenient that parents and teachers don't have to search for or save phone numbers. I find it helpful that we can send out field trip forms and accept payments through the app, making it a one-stop shop. The initial setup was so easy!

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

Toggling between staff and staff-parent accounts is sometimes glitchy with no rhyme or reason. They get stuck in an endless verification loop. ParentSquare needs to find why it happens for some and not all.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare ensures every student has someone at home receiving important information with read receipts and delivery reports. It simplifies communication by not needing to search for phone numbers and is a one-stop shop for sending field trip forms and accepting payments.

 ### 4. Effortless Communication and Seamless Integration with ParentSquare

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah K. | Technology Clerk/Website Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

ParentSquare is super easy to use. Adding students to a group automatically adds their guardian contact, which is great! Our integration with ProgressBook is great, and the information is acurrate. Our implementation team providied superior support, which made the transisition smooth. ParentSquare is used daily throughout the distrcit!

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

So far we have not run into anything inside ParentSquare we don't like. It was such a drastic change in a positive direction from our old platform, that we totally satified as it is.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare highlighted lots of outdated contact information which has been helpful in contacting guardians. The ability to add a student to a group and have the guardian contacts automatically attach, is great. Before we were relying on parents to join using a code and often didn't get full participation.

 ### 5. Great One-Stop School Communication for parents and teachers

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maggy F. | Center Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

I like the ease of two way communication amongst teachers and parents. I like how everything is one spot, and you can receive all of the schools communications in one feed, rather than losing them in the hundreds of emails I get each day.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

Sometimes I miss notifications, so maybe improving the way that notifications come through. offer an opt in for text reminders?

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think the app solves the problem i mentioned earlier- everything is in one spot and easy to access.

 ### 6. Reliable Two-Way Parent Messaging with Remind

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron C. | Director of Federal Programs, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

We use Remind to send messages to parents in both one-way and two-way formats. We have used Remind for about 5 years, and are so pleased with its capabilities. We send different kinds of media as well, not just text. Training is provided to school staff each year, and transitioning from one school year to another makes annual implementation very simple. I have received help from Customer Support when creating rosters. We use Remind as an integrated part of our communications plan on a daily basis, multiple times a day.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

Not much. I would like the ability to do mass calling, but the 2-way calling feature is nice.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remind helps us to have a hub for all communications. We do have redundancies, but all parents know they can find whatever is needed on Remind.

 ### 7. Family Engagement at a Record High!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | Director of Communication, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

Due to the ease of use of the platform, the amazing translation features, and the ways we can reach families in multiple modes (text, app, and email) we are at an all time high of family engagement in our district. Our students and families are more engaged, know where to find information, and have one place to turn to for details about their questions. ParentSquare truly has been the best solution for all of our communication needs.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

There is very few things that we dislike about ParentSquare. The one component, which we are told is coming soon, is read receipts on messages to parents.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare is able to help with reaching all of our families by having over 100 languages available for automatic translation. Additionally, our parents, from grades PK - 8th are able to find ONE place to get information about their child's school experience. Additionally, our families are better engaged allowing for higher achievement rates and growth from all of our students.

 ### 8. Communication Barriers Make ParentSquare Challenging. Honest review by a teacher-user.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren W. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

The posts feature, particularly the studio editor has been a great improvement over our previous system of contacting parents via the message center on Skyward.

Here are some things I like about ParentSquare, particularly posts using the Studio Editor:

1) I can create a template I can use over and over again.

2) I can insert photos and links to both websites, PDFs and other files.

3) I can see the data on who had viewed and interacted with the post.

4) I can share a link to the specific post.

5) If a student enrolls in my class after the school year has started, families can still see previous posts from earlier in the school year (ie- beginning the year information, etc)

Some other features I like:

1) Room parents can be added to communicate with families

2) There is a signup feature that replaces the need to use Signup Genius

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

I am really experiencing a lot of barriers in communicating with families on ParentSquare. As I have been trying to use the platform with fidelity (particularly to message parents, instead of emailing them), I experience barrier after barrier in this form of communication.

Here are some challenges I am experiencing with the message feature on ParentSquare (specifically Group Messages):

1) I cannot save a draft message (however, this is an option with posts)
I cannot "schedule send" a message (however, this is an option with posts). This is a valuable feature I've used in emailing because I can respond to messages "after hours," but parents don't know that I'm emailing them "after hours."

2) I cannot mark a message as unread (I typically do this when I want to remember to go back and respond at a later time)

3) After a parent sends me a message, I cannot add someone to include in the message (ie - counselor, case manager, etc). This is a feature I use with nearly every email that a parent sends me. I also can't "bcc."

4) I cannot format a message with underlines, highlights, bolds, italics, etc. I often use these features to help organize information and bring attention to important details.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare is allowing me to create more robust communications to families.

 ### 9. Clear, Easy Communication for Every Family

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sondra W. | Director of Student Programs & Communications, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

We love ParentSquare! We know our secretaries and administrative assistants are the hearts of every building. Patent Square saved hundreds of hours of their valuable time and thousands of dollars just digitizing our back-to-school communications.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

Sometimes multiple new feature roll-outs can be confusing for families.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParentSquare has helped us reach 100% of families, and we can do so in a matter of seconds when necessary. This has supported us in building trust.

 ### 10. ParentSquare Gets Communication Right for K12 Schools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin A. | Director of Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about ParentSquare?**

ParentSquare has significantly improved how our school communicates with parents. Right from the start, the support and onboarding process were outstanding, which made it easy for everyone to adjust. The platform offers features such as secure document delivery and automated notices that are both user-friendly and efficient. I am impressed by how quickly we managed to integrate everything ParentSquare has to offer within just one marking period.

**What do you dislike about ParentSquare?**

The only issue we run into is self-inflicted. Groups can be a little tricky if students are from multiple buildings. This wouldn't be an issue if our 9th grade students were in our high school or if our SIS handled things a little differently.

**What problems is ParentSquare solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main issue we faced was the inconsistent use of various communication methods and applications, which became a real headache for our parents. ParentSquare brings everything together in one place, offering a more secure and compliant solution.
