What do you like best about Paessler PRTG?

What I like most about PRTG is that it helps us stay ahead of issues instead of only reacting once something breaks. We already have alerts set up for our critical infrastructure, and that configuration has genuinely helped us catch and prevent incidents before they could impact end users. I also appreciate the all-in-one approach: monitoring networks, servers, and applications from a single dashboard. Combined with flexible sensor types and an intuitive interface, it’s easy to get real-time visibility across a multi-site environment without a steep learning curve. What do you dislike about Paessler PRTG?

The pricing model based on sensor count can become expensive as your environment grows. Every new device, interface, or metric you want to track adds up quickly, so scaling monitoring across multiple sites requires careful planning around sensor usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paessler PRTG solving and how is that benefiting you?

Honestly, before PRTG we usually only realized something was wrong after it had already impacted users. A lot of it came down to manual checks and guesswork. Now, with the alerts we’ve set up, we get an early warning before things go south—whether it’s a server running low on disk space, a slow link, or a device that stops responding.
