It's also great for going into meetings solo because you won't have to worry about taking notes while having a conversation. It's great for customer support and training new employees with recorded meetings. It's also easy to implement so your otter.ai can join select or all your meetings, and seamlessly integrate with google calendar. I use otter.ai with every meeting and if I can't make it, I know I'll have a recording to watch! **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** The only downside is that it could be awkward if you have your otter.ai and the other person in the meeting does not want to be recorded. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** Now I don't have to actively take notes during the meeting! It's also really easy to integrate with both Zoom and Google Meets. I tried other plugin notetaking tools to work with Zoom but they were annoying to coordinate, had app linking issues and required too many manual steps for each meeting to involve it. Otter literally felt like a plug and play and speaks easily between apps. I love the AI chat feature which allows me to ask very specific questions about a sales conversation, motives, and for suggesting particular things which may be helpful for the next conversation. I'm leaving this review as part of a promotion from Otter. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** There aren't any dwnsides to using Otter.ai. I look forward to seeing how the software progresses as new territories on this tech are discovered. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was spending anywhere between 2-3 hours per proposal - Otter has shaved off at least an hour of that time. I can pitch more confidently having Otters validation of my thinking as well as spend less time preparing documents and figuring out exactly what to say. Otter is able to populate some of those proposal pages for me that I would otherwise be writing myself. It's just about asking the AI assistant the right questions. ### 3. Silly time limits that force you to interupt long meetings and constantly get the failing chat bot back. Overall, Otter is stuuck in the 90's era of being helpful. Find another transciption. The transcription is incredible, the summaries are great when I need to send follow up emails both internally and externally. I use them for my one on one conversations as well, great for documentation. And my favorite function of all, the to-dos. In my last meeting I literally said "Ok Otter, for to-dos here is what we need to accomplish." Then in the summary it had those tasks. Integrations are great, easy to implement; we use the tool in Zoom and Google Meet. I also have it download on my phone for in-person meetings. I'm telling you, we use it for every meeting. I also appreciate the support from the company by highlighting new features and walkthroughs on how to use them. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** It's difficult to outline what I dislike because this is the only tool of it's kind that I have used, and am not considering exploring other options because of how happy I am with the software. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** Otter.ai takes care of the small tasks for us so that we can actively be involved in higher thought tasks. I've been using Otter.ai for about 3 months to transcribe and take notes from meetings that I am leading. Otter.ai has done an outstanding job of capturing esoteric, technical jargon making it super easy to go back to notes to remember what meeting participants said. It's begun to learn recurring meeting attendee voices and can fairly acccurately tag attendees with their comments made during the meeting. Setting up the account and implementing it into my normal workflow has been seamless. The combination of the Otter assistant, who joins meetings just like any other attendee and the ability to record meetings through an exteranl source, made integrating the software a breeze. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** Thus far, the least helpful feature of Otter.ai as been its ability to collect summaries and takeaways from meetings. Don't get me wrong, that's probably not a reflection of the software. In fact, I've learned to verbally take takeaways and key points with some phrases like "ok, so we agree..." or "let's mark that as a to-do". This has just taken a bit of trial an error and like any AI, the more I use it, the more accurate it will become! **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** Otter.ai frees me up to actively manage meetings by taking over the note taking duties. Having a full transcript as opposed to a shorthand version of what was said has been amazingly helpful in being able to recall specific details, often highly technical in nature, from meetings without having to translate my own notes. ### 10. I work fully remote and we have quite a lot of virtual meetings with different departments. Having Otter in the meetings "taking notes" for us has been amazing! After each meeting I spend a few minutes reviewing the summary and action items. I take those items and put them into my Asana tasks. It is a very efficient system. I use Otter everyday for my work tasks. There was a time where Otter was struggling to make it into our Zoom meetings. I think it was something to do with the new Zoom AI features. It provides a summary of action items as well as brief overview of what was discussed in the meeting. It is a very very important and helpful tool if business meetings last longer than an hour, Otters helps to transcribe the conversation and provide very helpful insights. Otter has saved a lot of time and provided us more accuracy to execute in terms of next steps. **What do you dislike about Otter.ai?** I used to dislike the web interface because it used to hang at times was inconsistent as compared to their mobile app. However, after giving feedback to them, it seems that the web interface works much faster now. That being said, mobile app is my preferred over web. **What problems is Otter.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being in long meetings, at times once can lose focus for a bit and miss important topics being discussed during the meeting. Otter is superb here, it transcribe the discussion for the entire duration of the meeting and in addition provides AI driven insights about the conversation to be more effective as well as summarizes action items and next steps. It has saved us alot of time and made our follow-ups more accurate and productive. ### 27.
