"Intuitive UI That Makes Key Features Easy to Find"

What do you like best about ORION Security?

The UI is the platform’s strongest point. It’s genuinely easy to use, and features are straightforward to discover—I can get to what I need without digging through nested menus or having to ask support where something lives. New analysts on my team also pick it up quickly with minimal hand-holding, which keeps the training burden low. What do you dislike about ORION Security?

Honestly, there isn’t much I’d consider a real downside. The main point is that the platform is still maturing in a few areas, so some of the deeper capabilities are relatively new and still being fleshed out compared to longer-established tools in this space. The documentation is generally good, but it can occasionally lag behind the pace of new feature releases, so I sometimes end up hearing about a capability from the vendor rather than finding it in the docs first. Neither of these has been a blocker for us, and their responsiveness to feedback has been consistently strong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ORION Security solving and how is that benefiting you?

AI discovery — We can see which AI and GenAI tools our employees are using, including the ones nobody ever put through review. That turns shadow AI from a guess into a concrete list we can act on, which matters when the risk is sensitive data ending up in an unsanctioned model.

User application discovery — The same idea, but for SaaS more broadly. We get an inventory of the apps actually in use across the org instead of relying on expense reports or self-reporting. That helps us right-size what we sanction, what we block, and where we need to take a closer look.

Hardening controls — It doesn’t stop at pointing out the problem. We can implement controls based on what it finds, so discovery leads to a reduced footprint rather than just a longer report.

Overall, the combined benefit is that we’re making decisions about AI and SaaS risk from real usage data, and we can act on those findings in the same platform instead of handing them off to another team and waiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
