"Overly Basic Platform With Gaps Present That Make Costly Google Ads Mistakes"

What do you like best about Opteo?

What do you dislike about Opteo?

The software is too simplistic and does skip over some opportunities that some other software packages realize. After a closer glance, some recommendations are not worth taking.

It is that simplistic that it doesn't have the proper labeling that it caused a very costly Google Ads mistake that Opteo won't claim responsibility for. The budget pacer screen incorrectly said that it was at $15 per month meaning the software wasn't smart enough to outright pick up that my campaign runs at $15/day to begin with.

Alright... I adjusted $15/month pacing to $450/month.

I then went to another budget screen that was set at $15 but the screen did not have a per day or per month label. I assumed that it was also on a monthly basis given the budget pacer was wrongly set at $15 as a per month number so I adjusted it to $450. It just really "saved" and didn't really have an alert to flag me on the spot that I really adjusted the budget from $15/day to $450/day within Google Ads.

To add to this, I then got an alert the next day (on the 8th of the month) alerting me that I overspent but will only spend $135 for the month; despite the projection should have been much higher, which only discredited the value of the account alerts that the company highlights.

The campaign that ran at $450/day for 8 days without much to alert me within the platform itself; and I only noticed the error when I went into Google Ads.

Despite that I was only acting as a reasonable person, the company has decided to not take responsibility for the error that cost me $3986. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Opteo:

I would just manage Google Ads directly within the platform to ensure that you don't make any costly mistakes. If I kept to Google Ads, I wouldn't have overspent on budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Opteo solving and how is that benefiting you?

I intended to use Opteo to streamline how much time I have to spend managing Google Ad campaigns for my clients. While there were a few generalized alerts, I could have received them within the Google Ads platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Opteo?

I like its ease of use and the fact it provides helpful insights withut needing mountains of data. So far this tool has saved me a lot of time with daily/weekly account optimisations, saved a lot of stress because some minor manual taks can be abandoned due to Opteo. What do you dislike about Opteo?

Dont expect this tool to manage whole Google Ads accounts for you. In the end its just a helpful assistant, not and AI Google Ads manager. What do you dislike about Opteo?

Opteo is software /AI so you have to be careful with some negative keyword recommendations - you don't want to throw the "baby out with the bathwater." It's really unfortunate that it doesn't have a native Bing Ads/Microsoft Advertising connection. Although many users have appealed to the Opteo team to consider this, they have made it clear they're focused on Google Ads. Recommendations to others considering Opteo:

If you struggle with keeping up with day-to-day management tasks (e.g., bid management, keyword additions, campaign administration) to the detriment of your larger overall strategy, this tool is worth a closer look. It won't solve all of your paid search woes if you're still working through Bing Ads/Microsoft Advertising, but it will certainly make you more efficient along the way.
