What do you like best about opencode.ai?

I can choose a model from the inference provider I prefer, which gives me the flexibility I need. The project is open source and keeps getting better with each release. At this point, it’s my daily driver for AI-augmented software development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about opencode.ai?

I don’t have any major beefs with the application. The only thing I can think of is that it would be helpful to have a way to edit the MCP config directly within the web interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is opencode.ai solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I’m developing solo and not working with a team, OpenCode feels like the pair programmer I’m genuinely grateful to have alongside me. I like starting in planning mode so I can make sure all the requirements are thought through, and then switching over to build mode. That workflow is the approach I prefer.
