What do you like best about OpenBOM?

OpenBOM fit our needs perfectly. As a small business with manufacturing, it allows us to define our product's BOM / store and manage engineering data (using Drive add-on) / manage inventory / and quickly create orders for materials. I wasn't able to find another small business PLM tool with all of these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OpenBOM?

I've only been live with OpenBOM for a month or two, but no real negatives yet. The support team is great (fast and informative) and there is a lot of content available online through their site and YouTube videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is OpenBOM solving and how is that benefiting you?

Engineering documentation management is being solved via OpenBOM Drive. This ensures everyone in the business is looking at the correct information (purchasing buys the right parts that engineering defines, etc.). OpenBOM allows us to track inventory and run a shortage report by showing the qty gap when an order is created. This lets us know exactly what we need to purchase for our next production run.
