I use Open LMS for my education at University of The People, and I appreciate the convenience and ease of use, which allows me to efficiently manage my online degree. I value the user-friendly interface, clear organization of courses, and reliable access that keeps me focused on learning. The platform's flexibility with scheduling helps me balance coursework with my personal and professional life. I particularly appreciate the assignment submission tool, which simplifies uploading work and receiving prompt feedback from instructors, enhancing my ability to track progress and improve performance. The discussion forums facilitate engagement with classmates, idea sharing, and doubt clarification, enriching the learning experience. Additionally, the gradebook feature provides real-time grade monitoring, assisting in staying organized and focused on academic goals. The initial setup was straightforward and user-friendly, offering clear instructions and guidance, which made transitioning to the platform smooth. Some aspects of Open LMS could be improved for a better user experience. Occasionally, the system interface feels slow, and navigation between modules can be confusing, which makes it harder to find needed resources quickly. Sometimes notifications are missed or not timely, leading to delayed responses or submissions. Additionally, mobile access could be smoother—certain features don’t display as well on a smartphone as they do on a computer, which limits flexibility for users who depend on mobile devices. I like the suppport that eThink provides. They are always very quick with their responses. I like the gradebook functions in Moodle. I love how they will work to find a solution to any problem you may have. In addition to this, I like how the LMS integrated with our schools SIS and provides our students and faculty with a user-friendly experience.

I have not found anything that I dislike. I have compared this LMS with other LMSs and it has been one of the best, the reviews have been great, the functionality is great, the support are great. Our team engaged eThink for a solution that would be able to scale to a high number of concurrent users. The entire migration process was very well managed, with a dedicated project manager and a highly skilled technical team that was very responsive before, during and after the migration process. Our team was able to work with them to transition the site over the course of a weekend - but the pre-loading process took some weeks to upload a vast amount of data. Wait time has increased. Sometimes I get a response right away, but other times it takes a full day, or two, or even a week if the concern has to be forwarded to another person on their team. I think I waited a couple of weeks for a recent request.

On rare occasions, the customer support solution doesn't work, or isn't sufficient for my needs. I end up finding a better solution on my own.

I don't always like having to wait 24 - 48 hours to have a plugin installed. There are times when I wish I could install a plugin right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have had wonderful experiences working with eThink since I started my role nearly 2 years ago. I have worked with a few different support representatives in different capacities. I am not sure how my tickets are assigned, but it seems like my first point of contact is with Jordan DeGroot. Jordan is a pleasure to work with and offers tremendous customer service and advocacy.

I have also participated in some of the professional development opportunities offered by eThink/OpenLMS. I am currently participating in the H5P Creator Course facilitated by Amy and Michael. I have seen at least two or three educational webinars from Amy Tessitore outside of the professional development course and she is also a pleasure to work with. I have worked in customer service in some form for the past 10 years and I am always impressed by the responsiveness of the eThink team.

I filled out a review probably a little over a year ago. The only dislike that I had thought of (it was a stretch to find something) was that I thought more things could be better resolved via phone call as opposed to email.

Since my last review, I have hopped into a phone call a couple of different times with Jordan and have been able to tackle some more in-depth issues.

eThink's support services for Moodle LMS administrators are excellent. They respond very quickly and are swift in providing solutions for issues you may come across. Losing Moodle Partner status due to their merger is unfortunate and throttling of file size uploads to under 100MB removes the simplicty of submission of student work and staff resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I submit a typical help ticket, it's answered extremely promptly - often within 20 minutes! And, usually, my question is answered with their initial response.
