I've been using OnTheClock at work since July 1st, and overall it's been a solid time-tracking tool. The biggest strength is accurate timekeeping, clock-in/clock-out times are logged reliably and I haven't had issues with hours being recorded incorrectly, which makes payroll straightforward. The interface itself is simple enough that clocking in and out doesn't require any thought, which is really all I need day-to-day from a tool like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The main pain point has been location accuracy, the app doesn't always pinpoint my location correctly, though this might be more of a regional GPS/network issue since I'm using it from Nigeria rather than a flaw in the app itself. The other annoyance is session handling across devices: if I log in on my phone and then use my computer for a few days, it eventually logs me out on the phone and asks me to re-authenticate, which gets repetitive when switching between devices regularly. Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review! It is genuinely great to hear that accurate timekeeping and reliable payroll records have made your day-to-day smoother since July. The location accuracy concern is a fair point, and you may be right that GPS signal variability in your region plays a role, but we still want to make sure the experience is as seamless as possible for you. If you reach out to our support team, they can also look into the session timeout behavior across devices, since we know re-authenticating repeatedly is a real frustration when you are moving between your phone and computer regularly.
