What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?

With the number of modules and configurability on offer, it's possible to get lost in the technical weeds when fine-tuning the solution. Making the most of OnBase's integration capabilities requires knowledgeable software developers. We leverage OnBase for records management and retention across multiple business units. Its document storage, classification, and retrieval capabilities supplement multiple line-of-business systems to assist with information sharing across the enterprise. We also leverage OnBase's Electronic Plan Review module to supplement our permitting and licensing solution, enabling quicker turnaround of development project reviews. Ease of use, ease of administration, the capabilities (if leveraged). Great community and responsive support. We are new to the product and are still flexing our wings and OnBase's as well. Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate the different offerings to know what is included in "packages" and what are bolt-ons. There is a cost involved. So far, I have not had my hands on our system on prem, but from the conference and training there have not been a lot of issues. I think having multiple clients can be a little bit confusing to new users, but once you are used to it, it works well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There is nothing I dislike. There are features I wish we had and one being, the ability to text students from OnBase. We have comments/responses set up and the student gets an email, but we'd love to be able to fire off a text. We love OB though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Hyland OnBase?

The ability to streamline processes from ingesting emails, to auto indexing documents, and then passing necessary documents into a workflow for users to act on. We are also able to have actions send notifications and emails to other departments to reduce the amount of time users have to switch between systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?

It would be nice if OCR could capture data without storing it as a keyword on the document. It would be nice if it could just write the data to a database table linked by the docid so that we could reference the values when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
