**What do you like best about Hyland OnBase?**

Ease of use, ease of administration, the capabilities (if leveraged). Great community and responsive support. We are new to the product and are still flexing our wings and OnBase's as well. We are cloud-hosted which also makes administering the product much easier.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate the different offerings to know what is included in "packages" and what are bolt-ons. There is a cost involved. Also, it can be difficult finding the right resource to provide the right answer to a technical or product question.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We want to use OnBase for our ERP and are looking forward to the coming integration with S/4HANA. That will open up a new set of users. We are also looking at CIC and integrating our other CM solutions.

All the integration options.  Unity is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

Technical support is hit and miss.  Some analysts are amazing and so very helpful.  Some seem to just want to close tickets as soon as possible with no real resolution.  Scan formats in Unity are difficult to manage.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incoming fax processing.  I have several departments that I have created workflow lifecycles to mimic how they processed these when they were paper.  It makes it easier to management and keep track of faxes.

**What do you like best about Hyland OnBase?**

The user friendliness is truly what shines. The low code solutions for complex processes are impressive and will make tackling our designated project pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

So far, I have not had my hands on our system on prem, but from the conference and training there have not been a lot of issues. I think having multiple clients can be a little bit confusing to new users, but once you are used to it, it works well.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a repository of 50,000 physical documents that have not been scanned or digitally imaged and uploaded into our system of record. OnBase will be the tool and platform that allows us to import those docmuments.

OnBase has made it possible to automate processes that have traditionally been manual.  The possibilities seem endless.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

There is nothing I dislike.  There are features I wish we had and one being, the ability to text students from OnBase.  We have comments/responses set up and the student gets an email, but we'd love to be able to fire off a text.  We love OB though.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gave us the ability to move from complete manual processing to automation. We went from 100% paper driven to 90% electronic forms and gave students the ability to upload documents directly without visiting campus.

The ability to incorporate so many paper and digital content into one main repository with easy and varied access.

Some of the limitations on indexing, and the Citrix environment for our cloud based solution. (How many times can I repeat how much I dislike the Citrix Virtual Interface as an admin?)

OnBase is replacing a very outdated kind-of hybrid homebrew document management system with a few more indexing abilities, but no one knows how to access them.

It's the most robust platform of its kind on the market with the most powerful workflow engine.

Client disparity, it took a long time to get to this modern look / platform you have now. I endured years of "this seems old."

We find ourselves creating solutions to round out other systems that don't have an answer for the need. We call it the Swiss Army knife platform because we can do just about anything.

The ability to streamline processes from ingesting emails, to auto indexing documents, and then passing necessary documents into a workflow for users to act on. We are also able to have actions send notifications and emails to other departments to reduce the amount of time users have to switch between systems.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

It would be nice if OCR could capture data without storing it as a keyword on the document. It would be nice if it could just write the data to a database table linked by the docid so that we could reference the values when needed.

OnBase has helped to create a business process that users find easy to use, making it easier for other departments to step in to assist when volume is high.

OnBase can go great things when configured correctly. I've seen so many processes streamlined and optimized and how much it helps workers. One of the processes I built in the past was so amazing the person I created it for literally cried tears of happiness.

Honestly I don't have anything that comes to mind currrently. I have not run into any big roadblocks in OnBase configuring solutions that stick out in my mind.

OnBase is able to store all of our information and streamline a lot of our business processes. It is very customizable and is able to handle a myriad of situations.

The learning curve is pretty steep with getting everything setup with documents and workflows. Hyland does provide ample training to help with this though

The easy user interface for our end users. The ease of customization. The wide variety of modules and countless integrations.

Importing documents into OnBase real time through API Integrations. Saves several days compared to the traditional DIP method of exporting/transferring/importing. Meta data is transferred as well, so indexing is no longer needed. Documents can go directly into Workflow or be viewed immediately by end users.

OnBase is a incredible tool for fixing the gaps in everyday processes.  Automating process, either paper or electronic bases, and building efficiencies through the tying of LOB application to core enterprise system and fixing the gaps in between

Grew quickly over the years.  It would be nice if there was some focus to go back to the core product and smooth out some of the rough edges.

Onbase offers a versatile solution that can be configured to meet our needs. It also integrates well with many of our software implementations. Support is prompt and our sales rep is extremely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

On-premise implementations could use some additional support and features. Hyland's push towards cloud hosting makes sense in the current tech environment, but it is not a viable solution for government entities. A fleshed out hybrid approach that allows the use of new features for on-prem customers would be appreciated.

OnBase provides a centralized solution for records management across multiple divisions and agencies within our county government. Automation features have streamlined many department's workflow processes.

New user. Just going live with onbase. Looks like a great product used throughout diverse domain and geography. AI component added to the Low_Code/No Code platform definitely serves the purpose of natural language solution building. Excited to be part of Hyland Community, and blessed for this opportunity to be part of the Great Minds gathered together. Extraordinary conference. Thank you!

Cloud solution should provide database access as well. Restricting it does not line up with the whole idea of the product, i.e. Empower Users.

When we have Errors we want to re process but we don't access to move files on our own . We have to call hyland and ask them move which is time taking.

Would like to see updates and patches ala Microsoft Windows, continue to improve and support the product after release. As is once you purchase a release, that is what you have besides critical security patches.

If I had to define an issue I see as problematic is the resistance to port your AI platform to sites that our unable to use your Cloud solution.

User controls are spread out between Configuration, Studio and some in the Unity client forms.  I'd like to see User administration to be in one app.

I like all of the options to integrate with other applications.   I also like all the data that you have at your fingertips.   Ease of use and how quickly you can configure changes.

In Document Tracking would like to be able to remove Assigned Users that leave the company and assign a new user to take over that folder.

The thing I enjoy the most about OnBase is how customizable it is, and the tools out contains to design and build new systems for different business processes.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

The user interface on the Unity Client gets too complex for most users.  Particularly when running in service mode for virtual print and application enabler.  Training users to exit the app through the system tray never gets easier.

OnBase allows our departments to work toward being paperless, as well as streamlining and speeding up all of our business processes.

I found most helpful is the tools OnBase provides to automate processes with our org.  It allows us to make process improvements all over our org by leveraging the native tools within our On base platform

The cost of doing some of these process improvements has gotten too high in my opinion.

We use it to audit our new account and loans.  We also use it to audit those new accounts for missing documents.  We utilize workflow heavily to digitize processes.

Great product for document storage/retrieval and providing a tracking system when document approvals are needed, also integrates well with financial reporting programs like Sage.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

Unity Forms formating can be a bit clunky sometimes, and customizations don't always stay functional with upgrades to more current versions.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customer database and financial books softwares do not include formal processes for tracking approvals. OnBase allows us to do this and acts as a "middle man" by integrating directly with our primary softwares.

**What do you like best about Hyland OnBase?**

I have been using OnBase for almost 20 years now.  It has evolved over time from being just another document management solution to something much more.  Their Unity Forms are like nothing else in the industry.  These are smart forms that become documents when submitted.  These forms can continue to be updated and accessed through out the defined process.  In comparison to other forms that become a pdf or image.  WorkView is another module that makes OnBase very unique, it allows for custom applications and tables to be created that further enhances the functionality of the OnBase product.  When combined with OnBase's workflow, very unique and b solutions can be created delivering one-of-a-kind solutions to is userbase.

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

Overtime Hyland Software has lost focus and many features that were promised 5 years ago have yet to be delivered. Unity Forms for example, as great as they are, do not display on mobile devices.  There are still many components that still work the way they did 20 years ago and have never been migrated to the newer platforms.

Central place to access documents and eliminating the need for paper.

It is sophisticated and versatile, practically no limit to what you can do.

Support has gotten pretty bad.  Sophistication also translates to complexity, lots of opportunities for things to go wrong.  Also, to realize its full benefits you need to have the personnel resources to support it properly.

Allows us to surface documents for a wide variety of audiences.  Automation features enable our data processing staff to work more efficiently.

Point and Click fast development.  Wonderful customer service.  Energetic and devoted employees.  History of great product and customer service

**What do you dislike about Hyland OnBase?**

CPE communicating out needs improvement.  Even internally it appears our MS group is not updated by CPE.  We trust them as experts and they forget our settings and use standard build.  They WILL NOT take into account HC need for 24/7.

**What problems is Hyland OnBase solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content Services for a Healthcare System.  We take in approximately 22M Medical records a year and we integrate to Epic.  Also, 1K AP invoices for entire ecosystem and integration to PeopleSoft.  We use RPA, VPD and other Hyland products as well.
