**What do you like best about Notion?**

Notion has evolved far beyond note-taking for me. I now use it as a journal, knowledge base, project tracker, reading log, and personal operating system. The AI features have become genuinely useful for summarizing notes, brainstorming ideas, and finding information across my workspace. The flexibility to build exactly the system I need without coding is what keeps me coming back.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Performance can still feel sluggish on larger workspaces and databases. Offline functionality could be more reliable, especially when traveling. While AI is improving rapidly, deeper integrations with external tools and more powerful automation workflows would make Notion even stronger. Mobile editing of complex databases could also be smoother.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think that's fairly obvious - note taking. 
This means productivity improves significantly, especially for me - considering a lot of my time is spent in meetings.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

Notion AI has been a genuine game-changer for me, especially as someone currently onboarding at a new company. Being able to ask it questions in chat and get answers grounded in the company's knowledge base, with references back to the original sources, has dramatically reduced the friction of finding information. Regular search is fine, but the terms I'm searching for don't always match how content was originally written, and AI bridges that gap really well. It's basically been my onboarding shortcut.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

The biggest friction for me is around formatting and content portability. Pasting Markdown in from outside sources is unreliable, sometimes it lands in the page title or doesn't structure correctly, and copying content out is similarly inconsistent. Converting between block types is also frustrating, for example, changing a quote block into a callout often produces a callout with a quote nested inside it, rather than actually transforming the block. Discoverability is another pain point. Even with starring or saving pages, I sometimes can't find them again, and the search relies heavily on matching the exact terms used in the original content. I recognize some of this is a learning curve issue on my part, but the formatting friction in particular slows me down even when I know what I want to do.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notion gives the company a single, central knowledge base, which directly benefits me as a new hire by giving me one place to go for documentation instead of hunting across scattered tools. What makes that even more powerful is Notion AI's ability to pull from connected sources like Slack, so it can answer questions grounded in conversations that haven't been formally documented yet, and even surface cases where Slack discussions contradict or update what's in the docs. That combination of central documentation plus AI that bridges into adjacent communication tools is genuinely valuable.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I really appreciate Notion for its organization and intuitive layout, which allows for lots of flexibility in how to organize my tasks and projects. The AI feature is great because I'm not very tech-savvy, and it helps me whenever I'm unsure about how to do something. I love having everything in one place, as it serves as a one-stop-shop database for both my personal and work needs. The initial setup was pretty easy, and the tutorials were helpful.

I feel like there's a bit of a learning curve on how to use it and the full functionality. I think there are so many ways to use Notion that I'm probably not privy to yet because I don't fully understand the breadth of what's possible.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

What I like best about Notion is its incredible flexibility and all-in-one nature. It’s not limited to just note-taking — it can be customized into a task manager, knowledge base, project tracker, documentation system, or even a lightweight database tool.

The block-based editor makes organizing information feel natural and intuitive, while the database features (filters, relations, multiple views like table/board/calendar) provide a level of power that most productivity apps don’t offer.

I also really appreciate the clean, minimal interface. Despite being feature-rich, it never feels overwhelming once you understand the basics. Notion feels less like a rigid tool and more like a system you can design around your own workflow.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

One downside of Notion is performance, particularly with large pages or complex databases. While it has improved over time, heavy workspaces can occasionally feel sluggish.

There is also a noticeable learning curve. The flexibility that makes Notion so powerful can initially feel overwhelming, especially for new users who may not know how to structure their workspace efficiently.

Additionally, offline functionality could be more robust. For users who frequently work with unstable internet connections, this can sometimes be limiting.

Notion solves the problem of tool fragmentation by bringing multiple workflows into a single platform. Instead of using separate apps for notes, tasks, documentation, and project management, I can manage everything in one organized workspace.

It has greatly improved how I structure information and track work. I use Notion for knowledge management, planning, and project organization, which has helped me maintain clarity and reduce context switching. I love how Notion centralizes all our documentation and artifacts in a user-friendly interface. Its versatility stands out, unlike other tools. Notion provides blocks that allow you to build almost everything, letting me craft tooling that fits perfectly with my team's needs.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Lately, I encountered some blockers on forms. I do think they could be more customizable (hiding some property value without deleting it, auto-generate content in the page itself using AI). Hiding property value, today it is all or nothing. Being able to create automations on form submission, today I was only able to catch the new page created event. Tough, even though I am pushing the getting started guide, people have a hard time understanding what they can do with the tool.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I use Notion for both my personal tasks and my job, and I find it really helpful for storing a lot of information. It solves big problems at work, handling everything from small tasks to managing company documents. I like that Notion is a good platform for daily tasks and is beneficial for the company as well, allowing us to have all details and documents in one place. Everything in Notion is good and perfect for me, especially for job-related tasks where I can easily search for process documents and find what I need quickly. I also appreciate how easy it was to set up and use. After using other tools like Slack, I've switched to Notion because it solves the problem of needing different tools for different tasks.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find Notion's offline access to be limited. It's fast, but it doesn't provide enough offline capabilities. When I'm out of the office and need to access some tasks, the lack of full offline access is a drawback.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I really liked the layout—the way the filters look, and how the tables both link together and appear on the page. Overall, the UI is one of my personal favorites among task management tools.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Sometimes, even though I really like the UI, it can still take too many clicks to get where I’m trying to go, and it isn’t always obvious how the docs are linked together. That said, the integrations seem to work quite well; I don’t recall them ever breaking or needing to be re-established.

**What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a place for us to lay out complex work, like documentation related to New Market discovery, which can have compliance implications and often needs a few different formats on the same subject to show the full picture. You can do that easily in Notion using Pages, Tables, icons within the tables, and more.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like how Notion keeps all of the team's tasks in a common place, which allows for top-level tracking. It's extremely powerful, almost too powerful, and I could spend a lot of time designing pages and creating deep knowledge bases. I also appreciate that it allows someone to be dropped into the task and immediately have all the information needed to start helping, instead of sharing multiple documents.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Two things: first it's like using a thermonuclear bomb for killing an ant at times. It can get incredibly deep but that may not be necessary at times. Second, some of the features are kind of convoluted to learn and start using effectively. And when the AI helps, it doesn't really 'teach,' it just does it.

Notion keeps my team's tasks in a common place for top-level tracking. It lets us share all needed information in one spot, helping someone jump into tasks without needing multiple documents.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like how Notion lets me put an idea in a place, like a brainstorm, and save it there for later. It's helpful because I can go back to it when I'm ready, knowing the idea is safe and not lost. I've been using Notion AI mostly, and it's really good. I find Notion easier than Asana and Google Spreadsheets because everything I need is in one place, and it simplifies tasks that would otherwise require making or updating a spreadsheet. The AI capabilities are super helpful for keeping things managed effortlessly.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I'm trying to figure out how to automate a daily briefing where I get a daily briefing of everything that's on my calendar because I have, like, three different calendars. It's not seemingly doing that. The only thing I can figure out is the automation. I've tried to set up Notion on my own before, and I could not do it. I had Claude set it up for me.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like the fact that Notion connects well to the cloud, as it acts as a reliable recording source and overall source of truth. Although it's competing with Google Docs in our organization, I appreciate that it connects seamlessly, which is valuable for utilizing Claude.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find it really hard to use and the formatting very difficult to use. There are a lot of bugs on Safari, especially with comments. They just break all the time, and I can't leave a comment, which is kind of the whole point. The Safari usability sometimes is frustrating. Formatting something is impossible, like using a little hover over is in the wrong section. I didn't solve the main problems of, like, Microsoft Word where, like, what's the difference between a heading one, a heading two in a section. I just find that really frustrating to use.

I use Notion as a journal Wiki and to share documents, though it's always competing with Google Docs.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

The platform is nice visually and boards/pages/databases are easy to customize. I also like that you can take the same database of data and put it into multiple different views so easily.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Notion lacks basic project management functionalities, including templated projects and easily duplicating projects or tasks without linking the parent project. It would also be nice to further customize "my tasks" or "my work" so that it's only showing specific parts of projects, as well as feed multiple data bases into this view. Similarly, when trying to build a board that showed tasks in progress/to-do for each day, if the task had a duration of more than 2 days, it only showed the start and end date (and none of the dates in-between), making the list misleading and inaccurate. Notion also does not have a true automation system that allows simple triggers like "date in the past" to trigger a status change. Lastly, building out a project management system in Notion is not super user-friendly, and can be difficult for anyone not intimately familiar with the platform to troubleshoot. This also is not helped by a lack of quick, easy-access customer support.

It allows us to track every task involved with our marketing creative and to manage our social calendars. It also allows us to visualize what the department is working on overall.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I use Notion for my work as a software engineer, mainly to create documents to share with my team or organize my work. I like that Notion allows me to clearly communicate my ideas and share them easily with my team. I appreciate using AI to generate documents from my conversations with other AI like Claude, which I can then summarize in Notion. I like the feature that there are personal and team spaces, making it easy to keep things aligned. The ability to tag documents to other documents helps with organization, and though I don't use the note taker myself, I've benefitted from the summaries created by team members. Notion's collaborative tools allow us to share our ideas and discuss as a team effectively. The integration with AI and other features are what prompted us to switch from Google Docs to Notion. The initial setup was very easy, and while I still have a lot of features to explore, I find that Notion works well and gets the job done.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I haven't had too many issues. One thing I would like is a more FigJam-style board rather than just doc style for sharing ideas and brainstorming. Often times a doc is too limiting for what we want to do.

I find Notion to be a very user-friendly product and it's aesthetically beautiful. The ability to keep all of our information organized and easily accessible for the company is incredibly valuable. Notion's AI features are a big plus, helping us infer and retrieve information quickly across the entire company wiki. I've been a supporter of the company for several years and even brought it into our company because of these features. The integrations are super helpful, especially just to connect with the external ecosystem and tools like Slack and Linear. **What do you like best about Notion?**

I use Notion for tracking day-to-day workflows and project-specific details, which has been immensely useful. I like that it is a single source for tracking, allowing me to nest multiple projects with ease and create planning boards similar to Microsoft Planner. Its AI component helps build databases, populates them, and links them to work more functionally, making integrations faster. The AI helps create task lists and business development boards, enabling me to track data and create my own internal KPIs. The all-in-one solution eliminates the need to run multiple platforms, making Notion particularly valuable.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

My main complaint right now about Notion is that it does not have a direct Outlook connection. I can't modify my calendar and details within my business calendar if I don't have a direct Outlook integration. The two-way integration to me is the biggest downfall. The second biggest downfall would be if one did not have time. I could see where Notion would be almost overwhelming to build a board database. It's immensely powerful, but at the same time I can see it being overwhelming. It was okay. It wasn't easy. It was time-consuming and still takes more time.

I use Notion to track day-to-day workflows and project details efficiently. The AI component helps build and link databases, easing the integration process. It serves as a single source to manage projects, plan boards, and create task lists, boosting my productivity.

I think the biggest piece is that Notion integrates with Claude. We use Claude for everything, so having it integrate directly with Notion makes it very easy to use. Claude helps with creating pages quickly and efficiently, which would otherwise be time-consuming.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Notion AI, I think, is fairly limited with what it can do. And then also, I feel like it often does not understand the goal or has enough context of what we're trying to do. Notion's AI tools is fairly weak. The product not good area for Notion. Setting it up directly was not easy. I think that's the biggest challenge from getting up and running on Notion is figuring out, you know, what your best structures, formats, are gonna be as tough.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like how the search function in Notion is decent, and the Notion AI seems suited to pull up some of what I'm looking for. As a nontechnical user, I appreciate being able to add on to and edit databases that others have made.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I think it can be very complicated for nontechnical users. I think the Notion AI can be better in terms of communication and structure. Tone, grammar, etcetera. It doesn't seem even 50% as good as, say, chat GPT for communications. I also think the Notion databases can be very confusing, like all the tags. It took a while to understand how Notion works. It seemed to be a very complicated Wikipedia.

I use Notion as a central repository to share meeting notes and resources with employees, and search through this repository with Notion AI. It's like a company Wikipedia, a one-stop shop for resources.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I really like Notion for its versatility and how much I can customize it. I’ve tried other database builders and databases, but Notion gives me the most flexibility to shape things in a way that actually works for me and how my brain organizes information.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Notion has a steep learning curve. It took me quite a while to fully understand the terminology and how to use everything effectively. I also had to do a lot of testing to feel confident that what I set up wouldn’t break anything or cause issues in the system.

Notion is a great way for me to track my progress. I use it to manage groups, track KPIs in my business, remind me of birthdays, and log books I’ve read or want to read. I’m also working on building a really comprehensive project and task management system that covers special projects as well as habits. Overall, it helps me stay organized and makes me feel like I have both my life and my business in order.

I have used Notion on and off as a business user for the last 5+ years, they have continuously improved the product by adding new features with the new 3.0, bringing AI natively into Notion and across business platforms

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

Pricing for Notion is often a sticking point for organisations that are not already embedded in Notion as they do not see the time they can save/value add from investing in this tool within their stack. Often, they choose to stick with their bundled platform like Atlassian or similar.

**What do you like best about Notion?**

I like using Notion for automating updates to the knowledge base, which ensures consistency across it. I find Notion valuable for monitoring project requirements and deadlines. I appreciate the AI Agents, as they can perform audits and updates that would otherwise take dozens of manual hours. I use the AI agents to draft developer stories and to reflect product updates to our knowledge base. The AI agent is capable of producing content and finding appropriate areas within the knowledge base to publish it.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I don't like the transparency of the platform. Nowhere does the platform communicate that the AI chat searches are only saved for 30 days, which caused me to lose tons of valuable data due to this data retention limitation that was never communicated to the client. Also, you have to configure the AI chat considerably to get quality output and responses. I like that Notion is very easy to use and especially that it is very fast. The experience is very good, and I use it 99% of the time on the Mac OS app. When I compare it with other tools, like Atlassian's Jira, the Notion experience is very good and fast; I click and things appear without delay, without lag, nothing freezes. I can open multiple Notion tabs at the same time, look at the notes from my meetings, and see if they are listed in another database of my tasks with a simple click. The app on Mac OS works very well, I have no delays, I don't feel it weighs down my computer, and this is valuable for getting my work done quickly and finding the things I need quickly. It was also very easy to set up, I had zero problems and didn't need technical support to use it in my business.

There is still no integration of Notion with Microsoft Calendar, only with Gmail, and this limits its use in my company, which uses the Microsoft suite. As with most products that are very flexible, it sometimes doesnt feel as intuitive or simple to use as something more streamlined for specific uses. I type in everything I need to do, tell it to make a list of 'to-do' tasks, to prioritize them by levels of importance and dopamine payoff, and create pages for tracking progress. I can share my work, make comments, and mention my colleagues, and I love that. Notion helps me efficiently manage everything by integrating it with daily workflows. The AI works directly within my pages, tasks, and databases, so I don't have to switch tools repeatedly, and it takes the context from my workspace and connected apps, helping me turn my ideas into finished work. It provides a single source of truth for teams working towards the same goals, enabling us to do it together. The customer integrations and the concept of a single source of truth are aspects I truly value. I really enjoy how we are using Notion as a connected workspace for our company, sharing documents and documentation which helps onboard new colleagues effectively. And the platform genuinely becomes an indispensable tool as you start using it more.

I feel like the Notion has a steep learning curve. There's a bit of complexity in the template creation and the initial structure setup. It's kind of time-consuming. I like how Notion allows us to work collaboratively, especially since I work from home along with other team members. It enables us to see projects, collaborate, answer questions, pose questions, and keep things moving forward. We have team spaces within Notion, like a marketing space, sales, and technology, which helps organize our projects efficiently. I also appreciate how we use it as a space to log meeting minutes, making it easy to refer back to them. We also have spaces within it which are a knowledge library for the company where new starter information or other reference materials can be accessed easily.

**What do you dislike about Notion?**

I find it frustrating that Notion doesn't include meeting minutes in the plan we have, and upgrading would have been significant. It would be better if this feature was included for free. Also, the initial setup wasn't easy - you really get out what you put in, which means spending quite a bit of time building up the knowledge libraries and setting up team spaces.

I find Notion fairly easy to use, and even though it has a steep learning curve, once I apply myself, I can figure out most things. There's a lot of help online and a lot of support for it. I like the fact that I can store and organize many different types of information, build tables, and search that information. This helps me organize a lot of my life. It's also valuable because it allows me to use one tool for a lot of different types of information.

It's got a steep learning curve to take advantage of some of the advanced features and capabilities. But other than that, not much.
