"Clean Notion UI + MCP Integration in Claude Makes Our Workflow Truly Data-Driven"

What do you like best about Notion?

I really appreciate how clean the interface is. It keeps me focused on what matters instead of getting distracted by clutter. What's taken things to another level, though, is the recently added MCP integration. Being able to access my pages and databases directly from within Claude, an environment I already spend a lot of time in, has been a huge upgrade. Tasks that used to take two steps, like digesting information in Claude and then logging into Notion to update a database, are now just one. It reads straight from my daily databases, pulls the data I need, applies the transformation to see how the previous day performed, and writes the results back automatically. One automated feature that has really stood out is how we use a Notion database to document the results of an AI tool we run internally. An AI agent performs a weekly check on the records generated that week, extracts patterns and insights from them, and those insights directly inform how we adjust the process the following week. It has made our workflow much more data driven, since we are no longer relying on gut feeling but on what the previous week's results actually showed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notion?

I have two Notion accounts—one for work and one for my personal life. My Claude can only integrate with one of those accounts at a time through the MCP connector. If I need to switch and do something in the other account, I have to disconnect first and then reconnect to whichever account I want to use in that moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Notion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Notion is solving one of the biggest problems we’ve always had. To give some context, the system we use to run our day-to-day operations is very limited when it comes to reporting, so we had to create separate solutions to make reporting better and easier for management to access. The issue was that those solutions only worked as reporting: they captured data, transformed it into nice charts, and then that was it. We didn’t have the ability to interact with the data or make changes from within those reports. Once the reports were connected to Notion databases, everything started being logged in real time and updated for all report users. This removes the extra steps we used to deal with—interpreting the data and then going back into our old-school system to document it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
