What do you like best about Nitro PDF?

What I like most about Nitro PDF is its ability to convert scanned, poorly readable, or otherwise difficult-to-process PDF documents—especially supplier invoices—into editable Excel files. I rely on this functionality daily in my Purchase-to-Pay role at Deloitte.

It makes invoice processing much simpler by streamlining data extraction and reducing the need for manual entry. As a result, I save valuable time, work more efficiently, and can manage my day-to-day tasks more effectively.

What do you dislike about Nitro PDF?

One area that could be improved is the accuracy and consistency of PDF-to-Excel conversion, especially when working with scanned invoices or documents that have complex layouts, tables, and multiple columns. At times, the converted output still needs extra manual adjustments, cleanup, or formatting to match the original data.

It would also be helpful to have more advanced options to better preserve the original document structure and table formatting during conversion. Stronger OCR accuracy and more reliable data recognition would make the tool even more efficient and further reduce the need for manual corrections.

What problems is Nitro PDF solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my day-to-day Purchase-to-Pay work at Deloitte, I regularly handle supplier invoices that arrive in PDF format. Some of these invoices are scanned, hard to read, or include tables and complex layouts, which makes it difficult to extract the right information and work with the data efficiently.

Nitro PDF helps address this by letting me convert PDF invoices into editable Excel files. As a result, I spend far less time on manual data entry, it becomes easier to review and analyze the data, and invoice-related tasks are completed faster and more smoothly.
