## Nextpoint Reviews
  ### 1. Nextpoint is an Awesome Database

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ease of use, the ease of uploading documents and most importantly, the support from the Nextpoint team

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I would like to be able to specifically create the type of privilege log that we need with the columns that we need. Other than that, there is nothing that I dislike.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The organization of files from large data dumps from clients

  ### 2. Large document review friendly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel W. | Senior Counsel, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I found myself a frequent Nextpoint user after some unanticipated document reviews. I am a big fan of the bulk code and tagging feature, the syntax search builder and the ability to customize searches by tags and coding as you review (unlike other platforms that require tags on the front end). I created my own user view to swiftly navigate the documents without changing the default view for the other users. I enjoy the custom redaction tools and the ability to quickly create a privilege log. The dynamic user activity tracking feature helps me keep track of how long I spend reviewing a document - this comes in handy at the end of a long document review. If you don't find Nextpoint intuitive, the customer support is spectacular.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I wish the instant document previewer showed more than the first page of the document so I could browse the entire document on preview

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learnable for non-tech savy users and cost effective solution for clients for large data storage and document review

  ### 3. One of the best Litigation Support Platforms I've used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas B. | Paralegal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint's self service feature, by passing the need to send client documents to the vendor or lock a document production 2-3 days before a production is to be made is a time saver. On top of that when I do run into issues, our Client Success Director, Sibrey McManus is quick to jump on our problems and is an absolute joy to work with.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The only downsides to Nextpoint, and I've discussed all of these with them and they are being worked on is the artifical divide between Discovery (document review and production) and Litigation (transcripts, trial prep and presentation). While it was a good idea on paper, as a practical matter it doesn't really work. I know Nextpoint is working to merge their two database products into one unified platform and look forward to that in the coming months. Additionally, and this is a minor nitpick, their Zendesk powered "help" chat button floats at the bottom of the screen, covering up real estate in use while there is a bar at the top of the screen that the help button could be pinned to. Again, something they recognize and are workign to actually replace with an AI powered help module.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before adopting Nextpoint my current firm was using Casemap for document productions. This is NOT what Casemap was designed for and was a poor tool for the job. Now, I can process, review and produce documents with ease.

  ### 4. Best mix of complexity and ease of use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douglas B. | Head of Litigation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Currently use Nextpoint only for its document production and review capabilities (not for managing trial presentations or trial notebooks). Have used many of its competitors and have good knowledge about running large document production cases. Nextpoint has found a good sweet spot between providing good functionality and ease of use. I have used some software products that are extremely easy to use, but do not have the ability to do much custom formatting or dealing with document productions that do not fit within their specific ways of doing things. This is especially important to me dealing with IP cases, where the document productions can often deal with odd file formats or productions from non-standard systems. While Nextpoint does have some limitations on things it can do, I never ran into any issues that I couldn't overcome and with less time than it would take to run a much more complex document production system. I am managing a boutique firm that isn't dealing with terabytes of data (all of my productions and reviews tend to be a few gigabytes or less of potentially responsive documents). Once you get a feel for how things are done on Nextpoint, it is very low maintance and can be easily managed by a skilled paralegal.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Like most document production systems, there is required ramp up time to get an understanding of its workflow and how it handles documents (folders, production sets, etc.) However, I don't think that this is any different than any other system. It currently doesn't have any AI systems for searching/tagging potentially relevant documents, but I have always been skeptical of those systems anyways.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reasonable priced service for handling document productions for a firm that does non-trivial amount of litigation work.

  ### 5. NextPoint is excellent

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Attorney, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The ability to quickly and effectively review and make notes about documents that we have received in discovery.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I don't like the number of steps it takes to accomplishing some routine tasks--and it would be helpful to be able to customize or set up macros to remove extra steps.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizing effective review and production of documents in discovery.

  ### 6. Great slot for the stack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

We've been using Nextpoint on a quotidian basis for more than four years now. It's very easy to train new users on and offers powerful functionality for a more modest price than more monolithic solutions aimed at monolothic institutions. The ability to upload as much data as we care to has been extremely helpful for as long as we've used this product.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Their search funcitonality has evolved in ways we have diverged slightly from, but I've been very impressed by the degree of responsiveness their customer support and technical teams have shown in incorporating our feedback.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We didn't have a unified eDiscovery platform before we implemented Nextpoint; now we do. My colleagues have been very pleased with the results I have provided them for several years now thanks to Nextpoint.

  ### 7. Easy User Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joneice A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

I liked being able to bulk code. Often there are documents that are not relevant to the project but take up a huge part of the folders. I appreciate being able to code those documents and move on without additional resources taking up time going through those documents. Another good aspect of Nextpoint is the customer focus approach. I have never had an e-discovery software company spend so much time making sure I was comfortable with the product.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

I am not sure there is a downside to using Nextpoint. Likely, I would say that having more access to self-pace learning videos would be helpful. There are times when you want to be able to learn more about a platform on my own time.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identifying mass documents for litigation. Nextpoint allows for flexible document review workflow to happen. The visualization graphics for your databased statistics are so innovative.

  ### 8. Zoom changed how I do depositions and Nextpoint changed how I do Discovery.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint allows me to gather all discovery and organize it in the manner needed to prepare for trial. Its an all in one from review, bates, marking documents privileged or confidential and highlighting or redacting. Preparing for depos is much easier and even adding documents on the fly during a depo is possible with nextpoint.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

When I send productions to other law firms, some find downloading the zip files difficult.

**Recommendations to others considering Nextpoint:**

If you want to use a system for all of your files without a worry you will pay for each additional feature or GB then Nextpoint should be the solution you choose.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reviewing tens of thousands of documents is not as daunting as it used to be and examining them to prepare for a depo is easier than the system we previously used. During Zoom depos the system lets me find and show documents I may not have thought needed and can introduce them seamlessly.

  ### 9. Very intuitive and great customer service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolyn L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

The software is very intuitive and easy to use. It does a great job with native files, especially emails (extracting the metadata and converting the emails to PDF without inserting weird characters for apostrophes or other common marks). I love how it is customizable for each case. The support team is always responsive any time I need assistance.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

Whenever I import searchable PDFs for review and bates numbering, the exported PDFs are no longer searchable. Yes, you can export a text file with them, but not every law firm or expert witness (or whoever I'm sending documents to) uses software to marry the image and text files.

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a paralegal, I use Nextpoint to review and prepare documents for production and to review and code records produced by other parties. It's a great way to keep everything organized and isolate the relevant documents by issue.

  ### 10. User friendly & intuitive software that gets the job done!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie C. | Paralegal Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Nextpoint?**

Nextpoint has unlimited data, which has been very helpful for us. We don't have to think about which cases and data sets we will use it for; we just use it for everything that makes sense! Also, it is very user-friendly and intuitive. The search features are not overly complicated and always get the information necessary.

**What do you dislike about Nextpoint?**

The redaction process can use a little work. Sometimes it is challenging to redact multiple. small pieces of information but the awesome customer service and developers at nextpoint have promised that this process will be improved soon!

**What problems is Nextpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nextpoint has solved the problem of where to store large data sets and how to make them easily searchable for multiple users in our firm. They have also solved the problem of efficiently reviewing and producing large data sets. They have changed the game for us!
