What do you like best about Netgear ProSafe Firewall?

Initial configuration is relatively simple. It does take a while to setup and get installed but following the directions, this makes it an easy task. Have had relatively few issues. There are a ton of security features, which is exactly why we've used it! The 8 ports also make life a little more easier once everything is up and running! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netgear ProSafe Firewall?

Well it's already quite a few years old and it took me some time to figure out that my internet wasn't slow, but that it was the Netgear unit that was reducing my bandwidth in half and pretty much costing me a little extra each and every month. I was quite disappointed to find the VPN client license was not included. Nothing in writing gave any indication of this matter either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Netgear ProSafe Firewall:

It seems to be a little outdated as there are other and much more up to date options on the line now available. Netgear prosafe firewall may have been ahead of its time when it first came to the market, but competition as caught up and surpassed it's adaptability and ease of use in my opinion. What problems is Netgear ProSafe Firewall solving and how is that benefiting you?

Besides purchasing the product for its main purpose of firewall protection, this was also mainly for VPN purposes, in regard to providing VPN client company staff access to test servers.I highly recommend using the VPN FVS 338 Model.
